ZillowVERIFIED I wanted to be completely honest with my review, for that reason I didn't just put all 5 stars and move on. That being said let's start with the 4 star. Howard always answers questions. I never had the issue of him not answering period. Sometimes it could be around 4 to 5 hours later. Which honestly in the house buying process is, in my opinion acceptable. It never put us in a tough situation having to wait. It is the only thing I would honestly say could use some minor improvement. Howard is by far my favorite realtor that I have worked with. (I had looked at houses off and on for around five years and didn't stay with the same realtor every time I would start looking again. I wanted to see how different realtors handled their businesses.) When I met with Howard Thruston the first time my wife and I were very impressed. However I wasn't able to buy a house again because I was soon laid off from my job. We decided that when it was time to look again that we would go back to Howard because of his ability to be patient and help with literally anything he could. (I once needed to send a fax ASAP and didn't know anyone with a fax machine so I asked Howard for help and he did it no questioned asked. The fax had nothing to do with buying a house.)How is the right guy for anyone for a few reasons:1) He knows the local area well. He was able to tell me which properties to avoid and why they should be avoided. And also which properties were a good deal and should be jumped on if we were interested in what it it offered. He also can help you buy properties that are further away, I bought a house 2 hours from Orem UT, and Howard drove out there 2 times to go through the house with me. 2) Howard Thruston knows the process well, he will let you know ahead of time what to expect and how to prepare so that nothing comes as a big surprise. He also will call weekly while under contract to make sure everything is going smooth. 3) Howard is extremely friendly and easy to get along with. He never made us feel pressured and will go to great lengths to see that the process is not a stressful one. My overall experience was very positive, I recommend Howard Thruston to anyone who is looking at houses. Once he works with you, you want anyone else I promise.

ZillowVERIFIED Howard is sharp and doesn't just go through the motions as a realtor. He does this the right way-- it's a full-time job for him. He is looking to make sure your needs get met and won't let you make a bad decision even if you are okay with your decision. He also is caring and every call I made to him or whenever I felt like I was being too needy he would say, "No, it's not a problem. That's what I'm here for." He had the right attitude and perspective on his job. The property I purchased turned out to have way too many hang-ups with the seller, the insurance company, and the lender. There were way more headaches than I realized there were gonna be and Howard all along persevered with a positive attitude. We ended up with 12 addendums to our original contract which I thought would have pushed my realtor over the edge-- but he kept on trucking.He also does check-in calls frequently which I appreciate. And, his secretary was awesome. Whenever he had another appointment and I needed to get into the condo I was preparing to purchase, she would be there opening the place for me.I whole-heartedly recommend Howard and his team. He did a fantastic job.

ZillowVERIFIED I typically do not rate anything 5/5 stars.My wife and I had debated for years on purchasing a home vs renting. About mid June, we got notice that our rent for our lease ending July 31st was going to be raising significantly. This drove us to take the plunge, and search for a home. We were completely new to the ENTIRE process, and stumbled on Howard through zillow.com. Immediately he was courteous, straightforward, and helpful. We setup an appointment to see three homes. One of which we had immediately fallen love with.We went to see these homes, and immediately knew that the one we had loved at first sight, was our dream home! We placed an offer that same day (June 25th).The couple that owned the home were older, and contact with them was difficult. We typically waited 2 weeks each time we made an offer. After many backup showings, offers and retractions, sweating and worrying, dealing with Mold in the home, etc etc, on August 15th we ended up closing on this home. Howard, and his team through this whole ordeal, the difficulties, were right there with us. Howard put up with my frequent, annoying, and panicked texts, was gracious, kind, and calming. He did everything he could, (and often times more), and made me feel like he had no other clients despite clearly having MANY more. ZillowVERIFIED I have had to work with a lot of Realtor's in my life and have always felt like they were in a hurry and impatient , or constantly on their phone even though i could never get them on the phone myself . Needless to say that i settled for a house and didn't know i could get an inspection or ask for things i wanted, so i wouldn't find out till later my home was a complete mess. So when it was time to buy i was scared. I called my uncle from Vegas and he told me of this dream making angel named Howard Thruston III. My uncle talked to him and told me he would call me soon, so I wasn't holding my breathe. It was an hour later he called from his car while he and his wife were vacationing. I was surprised he called back so soon, and that he was so nice and knowledgeable. He gave me all the info i would need to obtain and we were able to soon get started. Because of our horrible credit and not being able to put money down, he had to work hard for us, but he researched and found me a perfect lender , he didn't leave it up to me he made it as easy and comfortable as it could be. He had all of the answers for me and if he didn't he made sure he found out and if situations became difficult he took the heat and made it better. It took me about nine months to find my house and the location and price i could live with. We talked about four or more times a week and he really cared and got to know me so that I wasn't being dragged to homes i couldn't afford or that where run down or something i would have to settle for. We ended up buying our dream home in a place we weren't even looking at but he just found us the perfect place and we knew this was our home. He is so great if you leave with questions that is on you because he will tell you how to go about things and who to get for inspections and all the things you will need to protect yourself. He is a very honest person who becomes your family really quickly. I mean he did save my life when a house whose pit bulls were suppose to be chained up came after me threw himself between me and the dog till i was safe and my husband got it to back down. He went over the extra mile and even when what we the koi incident of 2015 went down and we were all at our wits end he acted very professional and negotiated what he could, and even if i was stressed at three am he would calm me down , that never happened that early but i knew he would. So you have two choices go with someone else that will in the end have you settle for over what you wanted to pay in a bad neighborhood where you will find out later that they patched up some horrible blemish or defection. Or you could enjoy buying your home that will be perfect in every way and have a long term friend you know will always be there, not to mention getting a mortgage that is less than you are paying for rent. This really seems like a no brainer buying a home should be a fun ride and he gives you that special attention and stress free environment. He deserves 5 stars in everything. What are you waiting for let him start on your dreams and tell him Runell said to mention the battle of the koi of 2015... LOL. Thanks I know you will make the right choice its the easiest one you will have in this crazy world. Thank you so much Howard you will always be apart of our family and it was an honor finally getting to work with a truthful man who isn't just out for a payday. ;)

He cares and isn't trying to take advantage of you. He listens to the tears and the worries. I really wanted great pictures to go online and wasn't completely happy with how they first turned out, so he paid to have another photographer take some more just to make me happy!
