She went far beyond what I would expect from a real estate agent and helped me make decisions that ultimately had a huge financial impact on the sale of my San Clemente fourplex. We initially went on the market in 2025 after Holly helped me renovate one of the four units. Unfortunately, we werent getting the offers we hoped for. We eventually received an offer for $1.7 million, but that deal ultimately fell apart. Rather than simply putting the property back on the market, Holly recommended a different strategy. She advised me to thoroughly renovate two additional units and update the kitchen in the fourth so that all four units showed at their best. She also helped substantially increase the rents, which was especially important because the value of an investment property like this is heavily influenced by its rental income. I trusted her advice and invested approximately $130,000 in the improvements. The result was incredible: the property ultimately sold for $2,255,000 aEUR" $555,000 more than the previous $1.7 million offer. Holly asked us what we were looking for in a realtor. We told her that we wanted someone who knew our area would help us set the right price, could help us with simple ideas for staging, and, most important, someone who would be there to guide us through the process from listing to closing. Holly is all of this, and more. ZillowVERIFIED I was introduced to Holly McKhann through biggerpockets.com as a recommended realtor to help me with my home purchase. This is my first time buying a home and I had much to learn. She helped me evaluate areas to consider and provided me with her great mortgage broker to get me pre-approved and start my home search. She was very helpful in pointing out pros and cons of the different homes we looked at. When we decided on the one that we wanted she creatively suggested raising the purchase price and requesting credit towards closing costs to reduce the amount of cash required from me at closing. She answered my many questions and explained the process every step of the way. After the home inspection she negotiated credits for repairs too. During the escrow process we hit a problem with the HOA not answering the underwriter's questions to their satisfaction, so our mortgage broker had to start the loan over at a new lender. This delayed escrow, but Holly stayed in contact with the listing agent and kept everything going smoothly and with no extra extension costs to me. I was so happy with the service she provided a couple of years ago that I had no question about using her again. When I came to her with my idea to downsize we had a tricky situation because we needed to sell before we bought a new home. In this market getting contingent offers accepted is very difficult. We found a fixer upper home we liked and Holly put this complex deal together. She negotiated an offer on our home for sale and then presented our contingent purchase offer on the new home in Dana Point to the listing agent. The listing agent trusted her and us, and she miraculously got our offer accepted. The transaction proved to be challenging with a 1031 exchange as well as a second out-of-country owner who created some other hurdles, but Holly kept all parties in contact and helped the deals close against significant odds. After we purchased the new home Holly provided her best contractor to help us remodel the home extensively to make it really special and beautiful. This whole process took 8 months from first idea to sell to completed new home, and Holly and her husband Scott were there for us the whole way.
