At the time, we had almost negative experience with the home buying process, and had no idea what to expect. She professionally addressed my early novice questions and provided suggestions on next steps to get us started. Once we got the ball rolling with the builder, Hillary always made time for us - whether it be for design meetings, viewings, random questions, etc. She has a large network of sellers and builders that she works with / has worked with, which makes anyone working with Hillary get the 'insider' treatment. Additionally, her expertise and guidance with the design process was invaluable. She was our agent for buying a house in Austin while we were still in the process of trying to sell our house in Indiana. We told her what we were looking for, our special needs (we are retired and both of us have disabilities), and how much we wanted to spend. She found a loan officer who helped us prequalify for a loan. She recommended home inspectors, mold inspectors, handymen, plumbers, electricians ... everything we would need before closing on our house. I never felt left in the dark or clueless throughout the process because Hillary would proactively provide answers to questions that I didn't even know I had yet. I don't even know what kind of situation I'd be in right now if she hadn't been there to assist my fiance and I throughout the process. Good People - Hillary is good people! She never stopped being a professional, but she made the process fun and I felt right at home joking and laughing along with her from the first time we met. It's so nice to be able to work with someone who is professional, but can also a process as daunting as purchasing a home feel easy and fun. In summary, if you're looking to buy a home, you'd be doing yourself a huge disservice by not working with Hillary and HomeSmith Realty!
