ZillowVERIFIEDIn my adventures looking for a new home, I met Helen at an open house. I felt she was very knowledgeable and upfront with the real estate market trends, so I asked her to work with me, as I needed to sell my home and buy a new one. My home was part of an affordable housing program and Helen navigated me through all the requirements that needed to be met before and during the sale, as well as do a preliminary vetting of the buyers. Since buyers dont always get approved by the city for the program, Helen made sure to get a back up offer. At the time of the sale, I chose to keep living in my home and Helen showed me how to prepare my home so that it was show-ready. At the same time, Helen was relentlessly working to find me a new place. When we found one, we ended up being in a bidding war, but Helen suggested a strategy that I was comfortable with, and it got me the house! I found Helen to be very helpful and trustworthy. Not only did she steer the sale of my home but she made my dream of a new home come true. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Helen as your real estate agent.
ZillowVERIFIEDHelen Landry represented us as the buyers when purchasing a single family house in Aptos - for under the asking price! We were moving from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz County and our new home was contingent on selling our home in L.A. In any real estate transaction there are many hoops to jump through and legal papers to sign. This was our second time buying a house, but after 20 years from our prior experience, we felt like first-time home-buyers. Helen's communication style and approach gave us tremendous peace of mind and confidence in an often overwhelming and stressful situation. We especially appreciated Helen's responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through. She was careful to explain the process and timing at every turn and kept us informed each step of the way - making sure to check in with us regularly with updates via text, email and phone calls. Helen took her job seriously and understood our needs and worries about buying a home from afar with multiple contingencies. She took the time to apprise us of any new developments and made sure we were informed and comfortable with the next move. Helen always made us feel like we were a priority and had time for us. She went above and beyond finding and meeting contractors at our new house while we were still living in Los Angeles and even helped coordinate efforts after the sale and close of escrow. She answered all of our questions and took care of our needs from the open house to the close of escrow and beyond! We consider Helen a family friend who helped make our dreams of living in Santa Cruz a reality. We would definitely work with Helen again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a real estate agent in the area.
ZillowVERIFIEDTo say were happy with Helen Landrys services would be an understatement. Her deep knowledge and understanding of the Santa Cruz market and her commitment to her clients was apparent from our first meeting and was a true asset during our house hunt. As clients with a very specific set of criteria, we were dubious we could find a property that fit our needs and still stayed within our budget, but Helens expertise and guidance helped to minimize stress and made the process both easier and more enjoyable. She truly listened to our needs and wants; we never once felt rushed or ignored. We are also convinced that if it weren't for Helens negotiating skills, we would not have been able to purchase our perfect home. To have an agent with the experience and confidence to get a home buyer over the finish line is crucial in such a competitive market. Helen helped us beat out eleven other offers aEUR" without pushing past our comfort zone. In addition to being an incredible agent, Helen is also a truly wonderful person. Our time as her clients was genuinely enjoyable, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.
ZillowVERIFIEDHelen is a truly wonderful realtor who excels at strategizing and negotiating. She helped us with the recent purchase of our dream home in the La Selva Beach area and I dont think wed have been able to buy our new house without her! When we unexpectedly fell in love with a house even though we werent actively looking to buy, we knew that we could rely on Helen to help us. She worked with us to make our offer as strong as possible given that we couldnt afford to come in at full price. Even with a very short time between the offer and closing, Helen communicated clearly with us at every step of the way, which greatly reduced our worries. It felt as though we were real priorities for her! We very much trust Helen and look forward to working with her on the sale of our old house! Shes always so pleasant and is the best realtor that we have ever worked with! I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a skillful, helpful, strategic and knowledgeable realtor.
ZillowVERIFIEDI recently purchased my first home with Helen in Santa Cruz County and my experience was great. She is very professional. She scheduled a video call with me when I first contacted her so we could get to know one another and feel comfortable working together. She is responsive. I could reach her easily by email, text message, or phone call with any questions I had. She is a great negotiator. She consulted me on the offer process and worked hard to get my offer accepted when there were multiple offers. I would recommend Helen to anyone looking for a real estate agent.
ZillowVERIFIEDHelen is the best. She has been my go-to realtor for several years now and has done a stellar job helping me sell and buy my homes, as well as two investment properties in the Santa Cruz area. Helen is a very responsive, hard-working perfectionist, with a strong sense of how to best help and advocate for her clients. Shes been living here since 2018 and not only does she know the local real estate market, she can also tell you about all the beaches and free concerts. She was trained as an attorney, and this certainly gives her an edge when it comes to negotiations. When she represented me for selling my house, she knew how to best prepare it on a limited budget, for the best return on my investment, and she used a great strategy to get a better price than I thought possible. Her negotiation skills also helped me buy the two properties in Santa Cruz at a fair price. I would absolutely recommend Helen to represent you for buying and selling your home, or an investment property.
