Having worked with someone in the past who made it very transactional and impersonal, I carefully did my research and interviewed several realtors for the job. After meeting with Heidi, I knew she was the one who would get the job done. Heidi is a true professional who knows the market. Everything she told us was spot on from the market value of the house we bought to what ours would actually sell for and how long it would take to be under contract. A lot of people will talk the talk, but Heidi walks the walk! Heidi is extremely personable and welcoming and just wants to make sure at the end of the day that you are happy. Todays market is extremely competitive, so you need a realtor who knows how to negotiate, and Heidi is probably one of the best and she does it in a tactful manner so that everyone involved is happy. And one of the best-kept secrets about Heidi that I found to be one of her biggest assets is that she used to be involved in the building/construction of homes. So, Heidi isnt just going to say take a look around and let me know what you think. She will be looking at the bones/structure of the house to make sure it is sound and advise you on whether that house is going to need a lot of work or if it is a solid house. No one wants to buy a house and then get slammed with a lot of problems right out of the gate. I honestly couldnt have asked for a better realtor or person to have helped us with our needs. As a first-time homebuyer with a lot of questions, Heidi was able to break everything down for me in terms that were easy to understand. As badly as I wanted to find a home, and as much as Heidi wanted to help me, she never rushed the process or pressured me into seeing any houses that we both knew weren't for me. ZillowVERIFIED Heidi was the best agent we could of asked for, but really, it's true. She's knowledgable, efficient, and follow's through quickly. More importantly, she is one of the most genuine people we have ever met. As first time homebuyers with no clue what to do, no family in the area to give advice, and very few friends who had explored this process we were a hesitant mess. On top of that we didn't know what our true budget was and had chosen neighborhoods all over the map. Heidi helped us find our dream home in our dream location and by the time we were all said and done it was under our monthly budget. What really helped it she had a team of professionals that made this process easy--- a one stop shop. She had networked with wonderful financial professionals that got some of my husband's college debt erased (yes completely erased) within days, a lawyer who made the closing process seamless and even fun, and later I learned that we should have trusted her recommendation of a loan advisor and lender. Even with the loan advisor (who I'd chosen via five star Zillow reviews) dropping the ball and making excuses and not following through with the lender and such Heidi single handedly (by lots of checking up on/prompting the advisor and personal calls to the lender) got us to close in 5 weeks and 3 days immediately before a holiday weekend. We didn't even have to miss work to move in! Even better... its been about 5 months since we closed and comps in our area are 30K over what we paid for our home. I have never been happier, like truly happy, with my experience in a purchase of anything ever. This home has created a sense of security and peace for us, I had no idea what we were missing. We owe that to Heidi. Side note: My husband is Deaf and Heidi is very understanding and helpful in accommodating people with differences/disabilities. It makes working with her very comforting when things like this can sometimes be overwhelming or scary. My lovely husband trusts no-one right off the bat--- but he really really loved Heidi.
