The first step is getting pre-approved. Find a local lender (I have one I can recommend) for the best rates. The level of communication is much higher than that of a big banking corporation. Donna Smith with University Lending is who I recommend. She can match or beat any competitors rate. I don't receive a referral fee. I just prefer her, because she is the best at what she does, easy to work with, and her level of communication is top-notch.

Staging is key! Declutter and depersonalize. The buyers need to envision themselves in the home. I always like to do a walk through for my sellers from a buyers point of view. I also have a background in interior design. I know the more neutral the better when you're trying to sale.

I especially enjoy working with first time home-buyers. I love guiding people through the home buying process. I also teach electrology once a week, so I have an innate ability to teach.

I have always enjoyed design and doing home projects. I'm very artistic and enjoy decorating and designing spaces. This goes hand in hand with the Real Estate business. If you know what looks appealing and what sales, it can really help with buying or selling.

Although, I'm not a college graduate, hard work ethics have been instilled in me from an early age. I grew up on a working cattle ranch. This taught me a lot about hard work and patience. After I graduated high school, I joined the Merchant Marines (Government contracted sailors). When working as a Merchant Marine, I sailed around the world extensively and lived abroad for years. This gives you an education that you can't find in books. It gives you a better understanding of people, their cultures, and a much thicker skin. I did attend vocational school for electrology and laser treatments. The same school I graduated from hired me as a teacher (part-time). Although, I do enjoy teaching, my main focus is Real Estate. I love what I do and not many people can say that.
