ZillowVERIFIEDBuying your first home can be very stressful but with the right real estate agent, all the moving parts will be organized on paper, sorted out, and filtered though a lense of expertise. Thats exactly what I got working with Gwen. I had to move out of my home of 7 years on very short notice. Not only did she drive hours to meet with me every other day, she really helped me stay grounded and productive though out the entire process. I had to make a decision in a matter of 6 weeks, and Gwen handled ALL of the inspections, repairs, calls and appointments that needed to be made. I'm seriously so grateful, words cannot describe. Gwen is a great real estate agent but also a very empathetic person who really knows how to navigate the emotions and challenges of buying a home. Our goal was to find a long term home within 3+ months in a new housing market we knew very little about. As a result, we were looking for a proven, local, relationship driven Real Estate Agent with some extremely specific skillsets, and Gwen Harris was exactly who we were looking for. Gwen was exceptionally patient, kind, empathetic, and professional throughout the search and home buying process. The market was extremely competitive and we were very nervous about making an offer. Once we did, we agonized over whether or not we made the right call and went back & forth on our decision about the house many times. She never wavered in her patience and professionalism throughout. She just calmly stuck to the facts and educated us on our options as each day went by until we landed on our final decision, which turned out just fine. Gwen introduced us to several contractors and arranged a few meetings ahead of closing so we could get the ball rolling on some work we wanted to do before we moved in. She was very quick and responsive about that and all matters throughout the process. This was an extraordinarily stressful time for us, and we will forever be so grateful that the Universe sent Gwen Harris to be there for us as we went through it. Home buying is no joke. You need someone like her on your side. If you can get her, don't hesitate.

ZillowVERIFIEDI purchased this home at the end of 2022, and I'm only able to write this review now because it has taken me this long to recover from the financial and legal fallout of the purchase. Gwen told me I should trust her and let her walk me through the home buying process like aEURoeshe was my sister or a trusted family memberaEUR?. From the start, Gwen was focused on keeping me on a very aggressive escrow calendar that felt overwhelming. Only two days after I made my first offer, I was rushed into a home inspection that she scheduled and oversaw without me present, using one of her aEURoetrusted professionals.aEUR? Because I was busy with work, she later walked me through the paperwork and assured me everything looked fine. One of the only issues highlighted was a lock on a kitchen door. Three months after I moved in, my house caught fire due to an unpermitted electrical upgrade involving old knob-and-tube wiring in the attic. When I later checked, this wiring was visible immediately upon opening the attic access panel, yet it had not been flagged by the inspector Gwen recommended. When I asked Gwen for guidance after the fire, her first suggestion was that I sign a aEURoehold harmlessaEUR? form for the seller. At that point, I sought legal advice and realized that this was not in my best interest. I also later discovered that the seller was featured on Sothebys (Gwen's office) website, which left me feeling misled and unprotected. I would strongly warn others against working with Gwen.
