A friend of ours who also moved from Chicago to this region, recommended her, and we, in turn, enthusiastically recommend Mary Jo to anyone moving to the Asheville/Hendersonville area.Mary Jo listened carefully to us at all stages of the process, from our first visit two years before our anticipated retirement time through the closing on our house in May 2016. She spent two days with us at the beginning of this process, helping us to explore the region and showing us properties first in Asheville and then in Hendersonville. These properties were a combination of those she chose and ones we saw on-line at Zillow. A year later (a bit earlier than planned), a house that was exactly what we wanted in the development we were most interested in came on the market, Mary Jo worked closely with us as we planned an immediate trip to NC to view the property, since inventory was low in the area and we thought this might be the house we wanted. She worked extra early/late hours with us to make an offer, which was complicated because one of us was in NC and the other in Chicago. Her suggested offer worked well both for us and for the seller, who had to move quickly for health reasons. She did everything possible to make sure we stayed on schedule for this closure. During the relatively short period between the signing of the contract and the closing, Mary Jo was as accessible to us as if we had been in the same town. She made great recommendations of people to use for the inspection, for the title search, and for other services. She also followed through making sure the repairs that she had suggested be made by the seller were completed in an appropriate way.To sum up: there were many things we liked about Mary Jo.
