    About Greg Anderson

I've been selling real estate in Carver County since 1985. That's not a typo. Forty-plus years, 3,000-plus transactions, and I still get a kick out of handing someone the keys to their first home or helping a family close a chapter they didn't know how to close on their own.

I'm the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Advisors West in Chaska, and I've spent my entire career within about a twenty-mile radius of where I'm sitting right now. Chaska, Chanhassen, Victoria, Waconia, Minnetrista, Carver, Mayer, Cologne - I know the neighborhoods, I know which streets command a premium, I know which builders cut corners and which ones don't, and I know why Chaska's $452,000 median price tells you almost nothing useful when Historic Downtown and Lake Bavaria can swing $1,000,000 apart. Generic metro agents miss that kind of thing. I don't.

My work tends to fall into several buckets. The first is traditional residential - families buying and selling, which is still the heart of what I do. The second is distressed property, where I've worked helping homeowners in hardship as well as with corporate owners like Fannie Mae, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and a handful of national private equity firms and hedge funds managing REO portfolios. The third is new construction and land, from single-lot deals to full-scale liquidations, with a particular focus on Carver County. Additionally, I am frequently asked by the courts to come in and sort out complicated family matters during marriage dissolution and probate matters.

Here's the part I think matters most: the 1985 version of this business barely resembles what we're doing today, and I love that. I've leaned hard into AI-enhanced analysis, data-driven pricing, predictive analytics, virtual staging, 3D tours - anything that gets my clients a better outcome than they could get on their own. "How we've always done it" is how agents become irrelevant. I'd rather keep learning.

Outside the transactions, I host The Living In Carver County Podcast, I'm active in Rotary and BNI, and I compete internationally in kettlebell sport - which is exactly as strange as it sounds and probably explains a few things. My motto has been the same for a long time now: connecting friends, building community. That's really what this job is.

Most of the people I work with these days are wrestling with something harder than a simple buy or sell. Baby boomers trying to figure out what downsizing actually looks like when you've been in the same house for thirty-five years. Adult children suddenly managing a parent's home through probate or a move into care, usually from out of state, usually during the worst month of their lives. Homeowners staring down a pre-foreclosure notice who don't know that they still have options - and have them for longer than they think. And of course the everyday Carver County buyers and sellers who just want someone who actually knows the difference between Clover Field and Hazeltine Bluffs.

If any of that sounds like where you are right now, that's the conversation I'm here for.
