I have begun to understand that the experiences which you gain from these is both patient and quick. Still, having invested my own time in real estate I find it is not someone's years of experience, it is the minutes by which they live real estate. Go ahead and ask any agent how many minutes they invest in real estate a day. I counted mine and on the average I spend 650 minutes a day working in real estate. To my clients this means the possibility of avoiding 650 mistakes that can happen every minute in this market and 650 opportunities to move forward in life. To me it means 650 moments to create an opportunity where one did not exist and 650 opportunities to create a unique moment. For me to create an opportunity of a lifetime that a person can retell the story in a life changing way is what I work towards. In the mid-2000's I felt the market was growing disproportionately. It felt to me like a secret discovery and I wanted to take advantage of it. I had no idea how to buy a house, so I began to take classes in real estate at the local community college across the street from my rented apartment. I already had a career in the library field so I was taking night classes, two per semester. I found learning something new to be invigorating. I was intrigued when I found out that after only a few classes I could take the salespersons license exam, so I began studying for it without any intention to use it. I am a bit of a certification nut and like collecting letters after my name. It was about this time that I started my personal home search. Upon graduation, I had taken every class I could in real estate and still had the bug to learn more. It was a natural decision for me to begin working in the field, especially considering at about that time the library field started to experience a downturn. I finally bought my house and also got a job at Redfin. After a couple learning years with them and having enjoyed the tech way to do real estate, I sought a brokerage with the same philosophy but that would allow me the freedom and autonomy to do business the way I thought most efficient and that would fit my personal style best. It is here at the Good Real Estate Team in the East Bay that we use the best technology tools and work as a team to serve our clients quickly and courteously. We work together instead of competing for each other's' clients. And because we are an aggressive, hard-working, cooperating team we create results. These results, in the form of closings, give us the information and hard data we need to create more successful closes in the future. Agents in the industry recognize that we are reliable and can get the job done and they, in turn, appreciate working with us. When a regular solo traditional agent closes a certain amount in their market, we close two to three times more. Our market is so competitive that clients need the most expertise possible at their side. And why would you want anything less when it's the biggest purchase you will ever make? People I talk with may think I am pulling their leg when I tell them how great I think our team is, but I hope they know we are trying to do our best by them. It is a place that fits perfectly the way I want to do business and the business philosophy I hold.

Any person can get a license and become a "Real Estate Agent", but not everyone has a keen sense of the market, a deep understanding of buyer and seller psychology, and YEARS of experience of closing deals in the greater Bay Area region. I ran into him by chance close to 9 years ago to buy a starter home for myself and he went above and beyond to find me a deal with my low low budget. A month ago my wife and I were in the market and I knew exactly who to call to help us. Grant was communicative and very generous with his time. His understanding of the market helped save us tens of thousands of dollars during the negotiation process and on top of that we were able to secure our dream home in less than a month.
