Gena Middleton

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: As a native of South Carolina, Gena moved to Charleston in 1998 as to begin her career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Roper St. Francis. In January of 2000 Gena began her 20 year career at the Medical University of South Carolina in The Children's Hospital. Over the span of her career Gena made many lasting relationships with fellow coworkers, patients, and their families. During her two decades at MUSC Gena served in numerous critical positions as a respiratory therapist. She achieved her RT3 (department clinical leader) obtained her Neonatal Pediatric Specialty License, worked as an Asthma Educator, performed Pulmonary Function Testing/ Cardiac Perfusion Testing in Rutledge Tower out patient center as well as serving as an adjunct instructor for the Trident Technical College Respiratory Program. She also throughly enjoyed mentoring and training new employees in the NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Emergency room. After 13 years at the bedside, Gena joined the Neonatal/Pediatric Trauma Flight Team in 2011 and after three exciting years Gena returned back to bedside care to work part time at MUSC to begin her career as a Realtor. Gena's passion in life is to take care of people. Becoming a real estate agent allowed Gena the opportunity to protect her client's financial investments. Both career's have seamlessly allowed Gena to care for individuals on all levels- mentally, physically and financially. Gena's nurturing skills, integrity, honesty and strong work ethic are the core values needed in a Realtor. Gena proudly joined the Matt O'Neill Real Estate Team in February of 2019. Gena and her husband Daniel reside in Dunes West with their 3 beautiful children - Luke (13), Brooke (11), Ashleigh (9) and Oliver (8) -- their beloved fur baby (Cavalier King Charles).
