ZillowVERIFIEDJeff sold our home in October, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. Initially, he presented himself as highly knowledgeable about our township, with strong sales statistics and extensive experience. However, after we hired him, his level of involvement and professionalism declined significantly. Communication was poor and inconsistent. He was rarely present for showings, and his team handled most of the documentation and open houses. His primary method of communication was text messaging, and at times his responses were short, dismissive, and unprofessional. At several points, it felt like he was more focused on accommodating the buyers than advocating for us as sellers. We were not kept adequately informed about the status of the listing, and negotiations did not reflect our best interests. We also felt pressured to accept unfavorable terms or risk extended time on the market and additional financial loss. Overall, this was a frustrating and stressful experience. Based on our experience, we do not recommend this agent. I also noticed we were never given the opportunity to leave a review at the conclusion of the transaction, which raises concerns about how feedback is managed.

ZillowVERIFIED Jeff is one of the most knowledgeable individuals with regards to homes that I have met. Being a contractor myself for the last 40+ years, you come across a lot of people that think they know what theyre doing. He not only knows the real estate market, he knows more about houses than most. He knows how to list a house properly and sell it in a reasonable timeframe. There are no better!

ZillowVERIFIED Our house was a 135 year old house, with covid it was a crazy year trying to sell our house. Jeff went above and beyond to get our house sold. We had bought another house out of state, so we were not always there. Jeff handled the inspections and repairmen for our house when we were not there. I would highly recommend jeff as your first choice in a real estate agent.

He was extremely helpful in navigating the whole process, especially during a time that I was stretched very thin. He is very accessible to help with questions, follow up and advice, he promoted the house beautifully online and in person. He is a wealth of knowledge on the buying and selling process and has an unlimited amount of contacts in real estate and for contractors. ZillowVERIFIED Our experience with Freeman "Jeff" Smith was wonderful. He explained things so we understood them. He was extremely knowledgeable about the market place and told us what we could expect and he was RIGHT ON. We would not hesitate to recommend him to any one who was looking for a realtor. He told us open house showing are not very adventageous unless there are other open houses in the same area. He is a firm believer in using the internet as much as possible because everyone in on the internet now a days. He listed our house in Oct of 2018, and we had a request to see the house three days after the showing and he followed up with the potential buyers and showed the house a week later and two weeks after he put it on the market we got an offer. Jeff went the extra mile and did several thing to help the deal go through and we closed on the sale on Jan 11, 2019.GREAT JOB JEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZillowVERIFIED Five stars is not enough! Jeff understands and anticipates the pinch-points in NJ real estate transactions thereby smoothing out and speeding up the process. His knowledge of Hunterdon is a huge asset; he knows everyone. We lived in the county for 21 years and wish we had known him long before he helped us sell our house. Even though we moved out of state we will continue to recommend him to our NJ friends.

ZillowVERIFIED We have been working with Jeff for almost 2 years. We fell in love with a house he had listed, but needed to sell our house first. Our house was old and very unique and we felt it would be a challenge to sell. Jeff was able to get it under contract in under 48 hours on the market. Jeff guided us through the lengthy, complicated, and stressful process of purchasing the other house that went from short sale to foreclosure, to other unpredictable and unforeseen circumstances. Over the lengthy almost two year process he remained optimistic, kept us updated, found us a rental house to live in, and even offered to keep our chickens at his house until we could get settled into another house. He remained optimistic that the original house we were trying to purchase would eventually workout, but still would take the time to show us other homes. Long story short he was able to make the purchase happen and we are happy living in our dream home. We are still in shock he was able to make it happen. Jeff is down to earth and extremely knowledgeable of Hunterdon County, we highly recommend him!
