Ask your agent to give you 3-5 choices of different loans and cos and pros. Ask your agent to educate you on the market so you become a savvy buyer.

Check the agents past performance. Ask the agent that you work what percentage of their business is referrals (this will give you an idea of how satisfied clients are). Ask agent what percentage of his/her transactions are buyers and sellers. ( this will help give you an idea of where the agents spends the majority of the time work)
