Question 1

1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Accepted Answer

My first piece of advice is to interview several real estate agents to find someone who understands your needs, communicates well, and has the experience to guide you through the home-buying process. The right agent can make a significant difference in helping you achieve your goals.
I also recommend getting pre-qualified or, even better, pre-approved by a lender before you begin your home search. Knowing your budget upfront will help you shop with confidence, strengthen your offer when you find the right home, and make the buying process much smoother.

Question 2

2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Accepted Answer

My biggest piece of advice is to choose the right real estate agent—someone who understands the local market, has a proven marketing strategy, and can guide you through every step of the selling process.
Before investing in major upgrades or renovations, talk with your real estate agent first. An experienced agent can provide valuable insight into which improvements will offer the best return on investment and which projects may not be necessary. This can help you avoid spending money on updates that won't significantly increase your home's value or appeal to buyers.
With the right guidance and preparation, you can position your home to attract qualified buyers and maximize your selling price.

Question 3

3. What types of clients have you worked with?

Accepted Answer

I have worked with buyers, sellers, and investors.

Question 4

4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

Accepted Answer

One transaction that stands out involved an older couple who had their hearts set on staying in a particular neighborhood. Finding the right home in that area was challenging because inventory was limited, but I was determined to help them achieve their goal.
I remembered that my brokerage had recently sold a home in the neighborhood to an investor. I reached out to the investor, explained my clients' situation, and was able to negotiate a deal for him to sell the home to them.
The transaction went smoothly, and my clients were thrilled to purchase a home in the community they loved. Seeing how happy they were made this one of the most rewarding experiences of my real estate career. It reinforced the importance of building relationships, thinking creatively, and always advocating for my clients' best interests.

Question 5

5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

Accepted Answer

After spending 30 years working in Corporate America, I was preparing for retirement and thinking about what I wanted my next chapter to look like. My daughter, who was already in real estate, encouraged me to get my real estate license because she knew how much I enjoyed looking at floor plans, touring homes, and helping people.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized real estate was the perfect fit. It combined my passion for homes with my love of building relationships and serving others. What started as a new opportunity after retirement has become a career I truly enjoy. Every day, I have the privilege of helping buyers, sellers, and investors achieve their real estate goals, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing the excitement on a client's face when they find the perfect home or successfully sell their property.

Question 6

6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Since becoming a real estate agent, I have earned my Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation, which provides advanced education in areas such as contracts, negotiations, marketing, legal issues, and professional standards.
I also make continuing education a priority by regularly attending courses and training to stay current on changes in the real estate industry, market trends, contracts, and state regulations. Real estate is constantly evolving, and I believe it's my responsibility to stay informed so I can provide my clients with accurate information, sound guidance, and the highest level of professional service throughout their real estate journey.
