Erin McManus-Keyes moved to Lambertville, NJ when she was three years old. The oldest of three children, Erin grew up in a well-respected family with strong community ties. Erin learned the importance of integrity and service to the community at an early age from her parents, John and Melanie McManus. John is a former Mayor of Lambertville and former President of the Lambertville City Council. Melanie, a retired school teacher and real estate agent, owned several businesses in Lambertville while raising their family first on George Street, and then on North Union. Melanie was an active member of the Lambertville Historical Society and the Kalmia Club, one of the oldest women's organizations in the state of New Jersey. John and Melanie chose to move to Lambertville in the mid 1970s before the city was dotted with antique stores, artist studios and galleries, and fine restaurants. It was a time when Lambertville was an industrial, blue collar town. Despite abandoned businesses and homes, they saw the greatness in Lambertville and potential for it to be better. They saw Lambertville as the place to raise a family. Erin witnessed John work countless hours to help improve Lambertville while keeping the idyllic, charming qualities you know today.

After graduating from South Hunterdon high school, Erin moved away to attend college in Philadelphia. She then chose to follow in her parents' footsteps by returning to Lambertville to raise her family and become an active member of the community. While running a successful business for years, Erin was an active member of the Lambertville Planning Board as well as the Lambertville Chamber of Commerce. Erin used her restaurant as a platform to be involved in numerous charitable events. As Erin's three children got older and the demands of homework and afterschool activities grew, she made the conscientious decision to close the restaurant and pursue real estate. This afforded Erin the time needed to be with her children during these formative years.
