He is professional, passionate and motivated. He provided first class advertising (Architectural Digest and the Wall Street Journal) as well as a professionally staged promotional video and brochure. His suggestions to prepare the house for market really paid off. When it came to personal attention Erik gets 5 stars plus some. Erik and all his associates and staff were attentive, helpful, and got the job done whether it was simply checking on the house, letting in a workman and inspectors, or answering questions about documents. He and his team are very thorough, knowledgeable, and pay attention to the smallest details. Erik and I had been in touch months before we decided to buy, and I threw out some thoughts on what I thought were the most important details in a future home. He knows the entire area very well, this was very helpful in our discussions. When we were ready we looked at 3 houses. The 3rd one said, "Home" as soon as we walked in the door. Needless to say, I LOVE my house and it is perfect for us and our family. Erik walked us through the process, making sure that everything was addressed in a timely matter and there weren't any surprises at the end that caused a lot of scrambling. No surprises! His list of referrals for services needed when purchasing a home is solid and he only recommends companies that he has had positive experiences with. The entire process was positive. If we decided to sell our perfect home and look for another, we will definitely work with Erik again!

ZillowVERIFIED I've dealt with a lot of RE agents in my life and most are just looking to get a commission. Erik is the opposite. He's always looking out for YOUR best interest. He will give you inside knowledge that will protect your investment. He is always trying to get a better value for you. During the negotiation process, he is willing to sacrifice his own interests for yours. It would be nice to have an agent like him back home. Anyway, he's created a customer and friend for life.

Erik was always patient and took the time to understand what we were looking for and what our budget was. Erik never went for the hard sell or put any pressure on us at all. He focused on finding us the right house, not on getting us into any house and getting a quick payout. I never had a doubt that Erik was on my side - it was clear that what really motivated him was my family's well-being and happiness. In the end, because of his great local connections and knowledge, he helped us find a house that wasn't on the market and negotiated a great deal for us. We got a house we like, in an area we love at a price we were happy to pay. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Summer being a lawyer is also an incredible benefit. I had my own lawyer as well, but many times Summer was able to deal with my questions and concerns before my own lawyer could. The two of them together make a great team. Couldn't recommend Erik and Summer more highly, they are a great couple and great agents.

ZillowVERIFIED i worked with erik several years ago. together we found a perfect place in a good area. he was helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. he even brought me quite a nice gift after i closed. since then (2011), he has maintained contact to inform me of comps in my area as well as other units in my complex so that i can remain abreast of the value of my home. a nice touch. finally, erik was instrumental in helping me petition the county to get my taxes lowered after i bought my place. he and is office walked me through the process for a successful appeal and has saved me quite a bit of money.

ZillowVERIFIED I have had a number of experiences buying and selling real estate in California and have other income producing properties in Hawaii and Aspen so I have worked with a number of brokers and know what to look for in a broker. To me, the depth of a broker's knowledge and experience in the area I want to invest in is critical but just as important is their availability to me. I was referred to Erik by a broker in Los Angeles and Erik immediately began pounding the pavement for me to find me a great income producing property in Aspen, but also one my family could enjoy on vacations. Over the course of a few months Erik went to great lengths to organize showings of both on and off market properties that met my criteria. I came to Aspen several times to view properties and Erik was always there to greet me and make sure my trip was going well. He would have everything set up and organized so that the showings went smoothly. More important than any of this however is that through the search process, Erik got to know me and what I liked and eventually got me to look at properties outside of my original geographic criteria because he knew of better investment opportunities for me. Because of his market knowledge about the seller being a spec developer ready to throw in the towel, he negotiated the best price on a brand new 5 bedroom home in the Cemetery Lane neighborhood of Aspen. I have since seen this investment nearly double and could not be more thrilled that Erik found me this amazing investment opportunity. What is so great about Portfolio is that they are not a massive conglomerate so you get very personalized service and attention to detail all along the way. Not knowing him, or his assistant, Melvena, aEURoeMelaEUR? ,Taylor (who is Eriks mother), we were appreciative when they went above and beyond our expectations. Erik worked with us on multiple levels, with patience, and a strong desire to do everything possible to locate a home that met our needs and fit our budget. They personally visited each home that my husband and I found on the internet. They took extra pictures and spent hours talking, emailing, and faxing information to us since we live in another state. Erik truly wanted to find a home for us, rather than sell us a home. Another remarkable attribute of the team is that Erik has a natural talent for negotiating for the buyer. We have lost homes because the Realtor income from the sell drops if the negotiations are not more client driven. After the contract was completed, Erik continued to confirm that all aspects of the contract were met. Mel interviewed and found sitters for our home who are caring for our property until we move to CO. We consider them friends, rather than Realtors, because through the whole process of finding and buying a home, they always researched and satisfied our needs rather than theirs.
