Despite the added pressures of looking during COVID and us needing to switch from a multifamily with another buyer to looking for single/condo due to it, they took the changes in stride. Eric made sure that we understood everything since it was our first time buying a house and he connected us with a team of other professionals (ex. mortgage broker, attorney) to get us through the process with ease. ZillowVERIFIED Eric was part of the company that had control of my relocation from the UK to Boston. My first contact with Eric was over the phone where he tried to understand what I was looking for. This was complicated by the fact that at short notice before coming on my house finding visit, I changed the remit from rental to purchase. Eric reacted and spent the next 5 days showing me properties around Boston that he thought met my requirements. During this visit, he showed us the place in JP which we fell in love with instantly and decided to buy within days of returning to the UK. From there Eric was invaluable in keeping things moving while I was packing up to move and once I arrived in the USA continued to help me through the ups and downs of buying a house. He represented my interests during the inspection since I was in the UK, and chased issues with the mortgage due to the added complications I faced as a new person arriving in the US with no credit history. He sympathized with our public service salaries, accepted our desires, and allowed us the freedom to cater to our independent natures to find the perfect home. Eric was patient and accommodating, following us all over the South Shore to look at houses, even when the weather was less than ideal. He got to know what we wanted, sometimes better than we did; he has an eye for seeing the potential in a house, and the sense to say when he thought it wouldn't work out--he isn't simply out to make the deal. One of the most telling things about our experience was his diligence in trying to communicate with the agent for a particular house we wanted to see very much and couldn't enter on our first visit--he tried repeatedly to get us into this elusive white whale of a house, to no avail. He never gave up on his desire to make us happy.We found our house through a day of attending Open Houses on our own, and he was just as excited as if he'd discovered it himself. On a second walk-through with him, he used that knack of seeing potential to it's fullest, bringing the house to life, turning it into our future home.What really set Eric apart was his ability to walk us through the purchase process, taking all of our (repeated) calls and texts and emails in stride, walking us through each bump and crisis, always empathetic, always willing to repeat the same things over and over until we got it. ZillowVERIFIED Hi there,I had been contacted contacted to provide feedback on my experience in working with Eric Rollo and William Raveis Real Estate.I had been searching online for a place to live in Boston for the 2012-2013 school year for about a month. I found the bedroom I wanted to rent, and after trying to get it through a number of (I think around 4) real estate agents, I found the Raveis website. I clicked on the "chat" feature, and after my "chat" with one of the helpful customer service reps, I was connected with Eric Rollo. I hoped that working with him would be different from the other 4 agents I had been in contact with. Thankfully, he was.I told him which property I was interested in renting, and through email or phone we were in contact almost every day-he knew how badly I wanted to live there! The building is about 2 blocks away from the school I will be attending, and it is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The space is furnished (which saved me the expense of both buying and transporting furniture) and it includes all of my utilities. It may only be a bedroom with a shared bathroom and kitchen, but for me, right now, it is perfect.One week of working with Eric, and I got an even better space in the same building I wanted! As we went over the lease, Eric answered all of my questions very thoroughly. He was professional, polite, highly knowledgable about Boston, and explained real estate protocol and issues very well. ZillowVERIFIED Eric was a superb real estate agent with whom to work. He is very responsive, responsible, thoughtful and clearly understands the Boston market and the renting process. After months of searching for a one bedroom apartment in Boston for my boyfriend and myself to live in, we were at our wits end. We didn't think our standards were too high - a clean living space within walking distance to a T - but apparently finding a decent place in Boston is harder than what we had imagined. That is when a close friend of mine recommended I contact Eric. She had just been in a similar situation - searching for a one bed with her boyfriend - and Eric helped her to find a place.I contacted Eric and he got back to me almost immediately. Rather than the whole rigamarole of telling us the place we wanted to see wasn't available and then taking us on an escapade to see 5 or more apartments that did not meet our needs (as other agents had done to us), Eric set us up with the capability of seeing multiple apartments online - including descriptions and photos - and then asked that we notify him of any listings we were interested in, which we did. The first place we saw was great, but not the right location. We then saw two more and put an offer in on the second one. While that offer was pending and looking less likely due to a conflict with move-in dates, Eric suggested we go to see another listing that was within our price range and that had the perfect description of what we were looking to rent. We were hesitant because the listing did not have pictures, but we are so happy that we took Eric up on his suggestion, because that night we were handing our new landlord a check and we had a lease shortly thereafter. We worked with different real estate agents for months and Eric was the first one to continue to reach out to us with new leads and prospects for apartments that met our needs. His dedication to ensuring we had a positive experience during our apartment search and his willingness to walk us through the lease signing process to make sure we understood our rights and those of the landlord was much appreciated. Furthermore, he was extremely helpful in my search for finding an apartment in the Boston area from a remote location even offering to schedule showings and either communicating the property by "face time" or sending a video so I would be able to see the unit without having to be there. Also, he understood that I was on a limited time budget when I was able to make it to Boston and was able to schedule viewings back to back, even driving me to see the listings (this was certainly a big help because I would have most likely gotten lost trying to find all the places!).
