About Emily Somers

I have lived in Valdosta, Georgia almost all my life. I am blessed to live in a town that I love and to be part of a community that is always striving to help others, grow, and prosper. In 1992, I obtained a Cosmetology degree from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (formally known as Valdosta Technical School). During my tenure as a Cosmetologist and business owner for over 28 years, I found my passion in connecting to, working with, and helping others. I discovered my love for design and interior decorating several years ago as well. Utilizing my passion for helping and serving others along with over 28 years of business experience, has allowed me to launch my enthusiasm for design and interior decorating into a job I can do daily. For the last several years, I have been afforded the opportunity to provide design and interior decorating with Accelerated Builders in Valdosta and Tifton, Georgia. I enjoy pouring my time, experience, and passion into the homes I help design. I decided to take my passion of helping others, designing, and being a business woman and start a new journey into the real estate world. I became a Realtor with the Georgia Association of Realtors Currently, I work full-time as a Licensed Real Estate Agent with Mercer Hughes Real Estate Group in Valdosta. It is my goal to serve others through design, decorating, and real estate. Helping individuals and families create homes is more than a job to me .... It is a passion!
