We contacted her when we were in a better position to buy, and described what we were looking for. She showed us several properties, even some that were a bit of a stretch as a match, as we had expressed that we were looking for a house that was a bit "distressed", but had the possibility of improving with a little TLC.Even the houses that we warned her likely weren't a fit for us, she was happy to take time out her busy schedule to show us, and never tried to push us toward anything we weren't interested in.When we found a house that we liked, Liz was awesome in helping us put together a winning bid, giving us advice on the type of offer and conditions that would make our offer stand out, and it did -- we got the house in the neighborhood we wanted.Liz and her team were great about keeping the process moving, helping to schedule home inspections, walkthroughs, mortgage brokers, etc. to make the buying process go smoothly, and she stood up for us when the sellers tried to leave us with a bunch of their "personal property" (junk) that they were supposed to have cleaned out. I am so glad I took them up on the recommendation. I absolutely cannot say enough about Liz. She was incredible! We looked at tons of homes and she was patient, kind, helpful, and funny throughout the whole process. She kept our spirits up and really understood what we were looking for. I felt like I was touring houses with a close friend. With her support, we found our perfect home. Her knowledge when it came to home buying, not just the process from a realtor standpoint, but also the homes themselves- things to look for, costs to be wary of, legal issues, you name it she had useful information to offer. Her entire team and recommended vendors were great top to bottom. We were so happy with her as a buying agent we asked her to sell our home and she excelled here too! Our home, which was not a great location leaving us with a smaller buying pool was sold in 2 weeks. The selling process was tough, due to some unexpected hiccups with the buyer, but Liz kept everyone's emotions at bay and kept our eyes on the prize - get this house sold. I truly do not think things would have turned out as well as they did with another agent.I recommend Liz Smith without any reservation. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their buying or selling agent.
