I was moving from the New York metro area to Worcester, MA, to take a new job and needed to find a new home. At first, I was planning to rent and later look for a house to buy. But in looking at some homes on Zillow, it became quite clear that I could own a home for not much more than what I would pay in rent. I sent out a few email inquiries to agents, one of whom was Elena. She was the agent for a nice condo and promptly responded to my question about pets for the property. We started a conversation via email about the whole process of buying a home - I had a co-op in a New York suburb but otherwise had never owned real property and there was a lot I did not know, especially the value of having a buyer's agent. I was driving up to Worcester on weekends to look at rentals, and Elena offered to look at a few homes with me on a Sunday that I had found on Zillow, without any obligation. By the end of the day, I knew this was someone I could trust, who would work diligently on my behalf, and provide knowledgeable advice about the process and selection of a property. We signed the agent's agreement the next day, and Elena exceeded my expectations in every respect. As it happens, I bought one of the homes I looked on our first day out, and Elena "held my hand" so to speak throughout the purchase process, from recommending a good mortgage broker and home inspector through closing. Most important to me as a first-time buyer was her responsiveness - I could call her, email or text her practically any time day or night and she would consistently respond within minutes, and I mean that quite literally. So, if you are looking for a great agent in the Worcester area, Elena is the one to call. You will be pleased with her service, and happy and content in the home you ultimately buy, as I am, writing this recommendation some six months after my purchase!
