We were moving cross-country, and Edward did an excellent job handling repairs, getting the house painted, and staging it beautifully. ZillowVERIFIEDEdward Slavis represented us in our search for a single family home in the DMV area during the fall and winter of 2021. We were looking for a 4+BR, open concept, single-family home with enough space for two home offices, a dedicated gym space, and an outdoor are for 2(+) Great Danes as well as room to entertain. We also wanted to be inside the beltway or as close/commutable to D.C. as possible. We were willing to make some improvements over time, but were not considering "fixer-uppers" and teardowns. Our budget, given the limited inventory and impending rising interest rates was... we'll say... optimistic. Early in the process, Edward and his team urged us to be patient and to really become familiar with the areas we wanted to focus on. We visited dozens of houses, and Edward never failed to set up a showing. He was open-minded and optimistic about our chances. He didn't discourage our curiosity about a particularly quirky custom-built short sale, but cautioned us on the risks. He entertained our foray into townhome developments and provided sage council on structuring offers in a competitive buyer's market. His home inspector saved us from the disaster of a $1M+ mistake. We ultimately submitted three offers before we finally found our "Goldilocks" home: 5 bedrooms plus a dedicated gym room and main floor home office with over an acre for the dogs and a 20 minute commute to the Pentagon. Again, the inspection gave us everything we needed to know about issues that might arise. And most importantly, Edward and his finance partner ran a shrewd negotiation to beat out another very motivated buyer. We honestly could not be any happier with the result! I've had agents who merely facilitated the paperwork and I've had agents who steered me the wrong way to try to line their own pockets. If you're looking for a results-driven agent who will guide and advise you patiently and save the pressure for the folks on the other side of the table in order to seal the best possible deal for you, then Edward is a fantastic choice.

He took the time to really understand my little neighborhood in Arlington VA and he took extra care to get to know the details of my house. Edward knows the DC market very well, and he (and Anthony) were always available to join us for viewings, talking us through the potential advantages and disadvantages of purchasing a specific condo, and never pushing or rushing us into a decision. We found the place we wanted to bid on around Christmas, and he was fully available throughout the holiday period to help us prepare the most competitive offer, and to work with the lender, the seller's agent, the title company, the inspector, and all the other parties to make sure we got every step completed smoothly and in time. When we hit a very unexpected snag that was threatening to derail the deal, Edward pursued every possible option to resolve it, and made sure we closed on the date we had initially scheduled. He has a vast network of very helpful contacts in the real estate market, and, upon the completion of the purchase, he got us in touch with a number of contractors to assist us with the renovations we are currently planning. We were considering not having an agent since it was new construction but we are glad that we used Edward and his team. The building was almost sold out and Edward negotiated a deal that was under the list price. During the open house, there was a table that we really liked and Edward managed to work that table into the deal which was a huge bonus for my wife. He helped us through the home inspection and pointed out items that we would not have picked up on. We also used Edward to try sell our current condo. Before we listed he told us that December was not the best time to sell and that there was a chance that we would not get the offer we were looking for. After about 3 weeks on the market we decided to rent our condo and Edward was completely supportive of the decision. He even offered to help securing the tenant.
