Edgar Garibay turned our dream of buying our first home into a literal nightmare! We first met with Edgar in Nov 2024, he's great at talking but that is all he is, talk! My family and I basically walked ourselves through the homebuying process after Edgar hooked us with contracts and the deposit to the builder was made. This man didn't even have the decency to let us know we were closing escrow on our home. The title company contacted us the night before and said we had to sign or forfeit our deposit. Once we were reviewing documents nothing matched what Edgar had said, the downpayment was 4k more and the interest rate was higher. I called him, his office, all the numbers associated with his office, and no one answered. The following day he said it was something that he could fix but that was also just talk. We closed back in Feb 2025 and to this day nothing has changed. Edgar also sold us on a point buy down agreement that he NEVER submitted for us. When questioned about this all he did was give us the run around with so many excuses until he finally stopped answering our calls, text messages, emails. I finally reached out to the lender and asked what I could do about this, and they told me the agreement had never been sent to them and referred me back to the closing agent. I tried contacting Edgar again June 2025 and got no answer from him or his office so I called my lender and explained the situation. It turns out the money we paid brought our interest down from an even higher number then we currently have. The interest was never what he said it was, he lied to us when he said it would go down one point, he lied when he said it was a subsidy and would reflect internally and he lied when he said he was aEURoelooking into itaEUR?. He didnt even show up to give us our keys, we picked them up from the builder because he was nowhere to be found.
