I recommend you meet with at least three top agents and compare what they have to offer. Make sure you feel comfortable with the agent and know how (and how often) they will communicate with you in the future if you decide to work with them. How many homes have they sold in your neighborhood/immediate area? Do they work with more sellers or buyers? What is the average time it takes them to sell a home? How many homes did they fail to sell in the past year? What are they promising and what will the consequence be if they don't deliver what they promise? Does the agent have help doing the marketing, measuring, photography, staging, showings, open houses, followup calls with buyer agents, ...etc. or are they doing it all on their own?

I started my career in real estate in 2006. Before getting my real estate license, I started investing in real estate and that sparked my interest in getting my real estate license in 2006 and finding my passion on the brokerage side of real estate.
