About Douglas Petersen

As a realtor and builder/developer for many years, I have developed a unique and easy approach to looking at homes and land from the eyes of a builder/developer. With over 40 years as an entrepreneur and business owner there are few questions in the construction business that I have not been asked. I am happy to pass along this experience and share my insight when looking for an existing home, or considering buying or building a new one. My experience has also lead me to enjoy representing buyers during the buying process as my clients can attest in the reviews they have provided on Zillow and other sites. As a buyer's agent, I do not charge a fee to you. This arrangement allows me to represent your interests and advocate for you during the buying process. In the event of a sale, I would ultimately be paid a commission by the listing company. Even though I am not a listing broker on most properties, I can help with any in our market areas. I am a member of the Loveland Board of Realtors, Spanish Peaks MLS, IRES MLS (Northern Colorado) and REColorado MLS representing listings in the greater Denver area and Steamboat Springs. I was previously a member of the Vail Board of Realtors, Summit County Association of Realtors and the Aspen/Glenwood MLS service and can still represent your interests in those areas. Doug Petersen did a great job managing our home purchase in Trinidad. He made recommendations concerning our initial offer, handled all the paperwork and helped push the final contract through closing. His knowledge of the Trinidad market and transaction process gave us the confidence to handle virtually all of the details long-distance. I dont have enough real estate knowledge to even know what questions to ask. Doug does. Doug recommended things I would have overlooked and lost money on. We live 500 miles from Trinidad, so coming into town on short notice was a bit of an issue. From recommending home inspectors, providing a list of utility providers, and coordinating closing signatures, Doug took care of everything. I recommend Doug and will be calling him the next time Im looking for real estate.
