Doug is very thoughtful and it is clear that he cares about his clients. He is knowledgeable about Sacramento area real estate and we felt completely confident in his recommendations as we searched for and later sold our first home. As first time home buyers, Doug was patient as we narrowed down exactly what we were looking for and took my husband and my own (very different) requests into consideration. He explained how real estate works and gave us helpful information so we could better understand the process. He offered helpful recommendations and guided us as we developed a list of priorities. Doug was very responsive and was willing to meet with us quickly as we found houses we were interested in. He always answered or returned phone calls the same day (usually within the hour) and was patient with our many questions. Doug started with a consultation and review of things we should consider when the time came to sell our house. He researched our area and provided a plan for us to get ready to sell. He provided a list of very good vendors and gave us advice on how to stage our house to be more appealing to buyers. Again, we felt very confident in following his advice. We ended up with 2 offers $20k over asking price and feel that we owe the success to Doug's marketing and thoughtful planning. There were some difficult conversations we had to have as inspections turned out differently than we had planned, but Doug was straightforward and helped my husband and I respond appropriately to the different situations we came across. We have heard of horror stories with buying and selling, but our experience was incredibly smooth overall, especially considering the complexity of real estate. We knew Doug was great, but didn't realize how fortunate we were to have his expertise and guidance until we worked with different realtors in another town... we wish we could take him everywhere with us as we buy/sell in the future! We thank Doug for the time he invested in making our home buying and selling peaceful and successful. We are very thankful for him and could not recommend him enough!
