Doug is simply the best in what he does. He and his team raised the bar through out the entire home buying experience. I bought my first house in 2009 with Doug's help, went back to him for the house that I recently purchased and will be working with him again to sell one of my existing properties. Doug is very knowledgeable with the housing market, provides more than enough guidance to the home buyer, very detailed on his inspections, very dependable (available anytime), knows a lot about residential properties on what to look out for in terms of risk and guides the home buyer towards the correct decision. He is totally client obsessed (customer obsessed) in making sure that his clients get the most benefit out of the entire home buying process. Highly recommend.

If you think finding and buying your dream home is difficult, imagine selling your current home at the same time, Terese made that possible and made it seem easy. Terese was amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable, hard-working, and always available. She was always there to answer any questions we had, and we had a lot. Terese was there for us every step of the way. We were able to go on a family vacation while she took over the remodel of our house to prepare it to sell. She was very thorough. Doug Goss is the real deal! One year ago, my husband and I went to our brother-in-laws house for a casual Sunday barbecue dinner. It was at this barbecue that we shared our desire to sell our first home. My husband and I bought our first home in 2011 and though we loved our home, we were ready to move closer to our sons school. During this conversation, my brother-in-law suggested we meet Doug Goss. Having worked with Dougs wife for several years, my brother-in-law had become quite fond of the Goss family and knew Doug would be a highly qualified, hardworking real estate agent. The following day, we met Doug for the first time. He arrived at our house with a friendly smile and a professionally bound, thoroughly detailed book that gave us insight into who Doug Goss is, The Goss Real Estate Groups mission, and it also listed information regarding our home and the comparable properties. Doug made our first meeting such a pleasant experience; his honesty, confident nature, and enthusiasm speak volumes. By the end of the week, we were in contract to sell our house! The process was very seamless. Doug had references for every facet of the selling (and buying) process, such as inspectors, contractors, house stagers, and storage companies. Dougs kindness and generous nature were much appreciated during the selling process. Packing up a 1,270 sq. ft. home can be quite stressful, but Doug and The Goss Real Estate Team helped make the process a breeze by taking care of all the details.Our house went on the MLS website in October 2019 and over the course or five weeks, Doug and his team hosted several open houses. Their commitment and optimism during this selling process never wavered, and by the end of November 2019, we had officially sold our house! Doug was then tasked with helping us buy our forever home! During this period of time, he went above and beyond to ensure that we made the right decision for our family. My husband and I had our hearts set on a house built in 1930. Doug made sure that all the permits were in place, eventually driving downtown to the Santa Clara County records office to check that certain aspects of the home were up to code. He was very honest and thorough with every detail of the buying process. It was evident that Doug truly cared about us and our future in our new home. Although we were not the only family to bid on the 1930s house, Dougs expertise helped us connect with the seller, who accepted our offer. After some issues arose with the house inspections, Doug was able to apply his knowledge and experience in order to rework the offer in a more favorable manner for my husband and I. With Christmas just around the corner, our final offer was accepted and we were in contract! We moved into our forever home in January 2020 and we quickly adjusted to life in our new home and the neighborhood. Bike rides, backyard dinners, and Bibos pizza are just a few of our favorite new neighborhood activities. We are fortunate to be close to family, its a short walk to school or the downtown area for lunch, and we have the friendliest neighbors! We wholeheartedly appreciate the commitment and integrity of Doug Goss and The Goss Real Estate Group. Life is better in our forever home!

This most recent sale is the third time we have worked with Doug and his team. Obviously, we would not keep utilizing him and office if we weren't very happy! This sale was made difficult with the onset of many new rules due to Covid. He was very well versed in the many new requirements, and guided us through the new processes. We decided to pull the house off of the market just days after listing it, when the SIP order came down. He had the virtual tours and pictures available, and when we re-listed, it sold within days. Sadie is awesome! I cold-called Terese and Doug right after lunch on a Friday based on what looked to be their visible best track record for our South San Jose neighborhood in Zillow. There was a callback in 35 minutes, and they turned out to be the best. I've subjectively felt that in real estate transactions there's so many steps of administration, legalities and consequential sums -- the steps ultimately have logic and function (with certain distortions) and we can finish these steps, but they feel daunting as we work through them. And if we're not used to these experiences, then the time frames and long chains of steps don't exactly feel intuitive or natural. We can all get through real estate activities and large-scale transactions -- if it wasn't possible for thousands to do it every day in every locality, it wouldn't be an industry -- but there's a general assumption that "everyone in society can't all be specialists on a topic, so that's why the choice of agent is make-or-break in order to get through it comfortably".- There was a kickoff meeting to frame all the subtopics and timelines in a project mgmt. style- The kickoff visit included an initial starter inspection before we mutually signed agreements, and the depth of inspections and steps ramped up from there- Terese brought us together with 3rd parties to help us get things done on time- ... And at a very good steady pace; I had the energy to work through my move-out & administrative steps relatively fast, but the maximization of pace is up to us- Internal communication with me- External representation toward buyers, agents, contractors, city & state govt. agencies, HOA, escrow work with the title company she brought us together with- Many educational mini-conversations as I asked questions about steps and processes, which had permanent value as an experience- Systematic saving & forwarding of contractor receipts, reminders to save receipts for future purposes== It's all a lot of work, and good work to be doing! I would highly recommend working with Doug to anyone looking to buy a home. My husband and I were looking for a place to buy for close to a year and Doug was exceptionally patient and helpful throughout the whole process.
