About Donovan Loomis
Before real estate, I spent over a decade in South Korea. A special place in my heart, it was where I learned the real meaning of negotiation, patience, and understanding. From navigating cultural differences to breaking through language barriers, my time there wasn't easy, but it shaped me. It taught me how to truly listen, adapt, and negotiate, even in the most complex situations. But my story doesn't stop there. My mentor and I started the first private girls' soccer club for girls in South Korea. It didn't exist then, but we made it happen, and now similar programs are spreading nationwide. It's moments like that, where you look at something no one else thought possible and say, "Let's make this happen," that I carry with me today in every deal I handle. My life in Korea took me to another place, artisanal bacon and charcuterie. I started a small, well-loved business, creating aged steaks, seasonings, ham, and artisanal bacon that had a dedicated following. There's something special about creating a product people love so much they eagerly wait for the next batch. The joy of seeing people enjoy something you've made with your hands, that's the same feeling I get when helping my clients find their dream home. I spent years earning my Master's in Education Administration in Korea, and I loved teaching. Watching students face their fears, build confidence, and grow their skills, it was a beautiful thing. It wasn't always easy, but it taught me how to guide others through challenges, how to be patient, and how to bring clarity to difficult situations. When I came back to the U.S., I realized real estate was the perfect next step. It combined my passion for service, my dedication to providing unique experiences, and my desire to help people make big moves in their lives. I actually got started in real estate during Christmas one year. Before becoming an agent, I lived in another country, and that experience shaped how I see people and situations.
