If buying a home is your American dream, before your ready to start looking at homes be sure that your credit is good. The better the credit the better the rate. Pay off/down your debt. Make a list of all your monthly payments so a bank/mortgage company can tell you how much you can afford. Your monthly mortgage payment should be 25% or less of your take-home pay—including property taxes, homeowners' insurance, private mortgage insurance (PMI) and HOA fees. Put as much as you can afford down. Putting 20% or more down eliminates PMI. Be sure to get a preapproval from a bank/mortgage company. Now you are ready to call a Realtor. I realtor will represent YOU as your agent to protect you. A good agent will know the market and guide you thru the process and get you into to see houses, make an offer, negotiate the home price, inspections, working with Attorneys and all those involved. Buying a house can be an emotional journey and one that helps you get the keys to the home you have always wanted for you and your family. These are rules to prepare to sell your house in any market. 1. Declutter, & clean, paint -neutral colors if needed. Stage or rearrange or remove 2. Repair what needs to be fixed, 3. To get a top price, keep the house updated, A picture says a thousand words, have the house picture ready, you want buyers to be impressed with your house. to make a good offer, you could get multiple offers. 4. Learn your market of your Local Real Estate. This is very important. The market changes, is it a buyer or sellers' market? Do your homework. Having a good Realtor is important, they will have a professional photographer, advertising sites, market stats, and will market your home the way it needs to be done to get you the best price. I can honestly say in all my years in the business, only 2 did not work out and that was due to a job change and a mortgage issue the bank missed.

I had a good friend that was in the business and was always telling me how great it was working with clients that were always happy. I had always worked in business and was a Director of sales and marketing, many times for start-up companies. May times there were budget cuts and I had to lay off people. I took my Real Estate test an just said I have always wanted to do this and two weeks later started my own business, doing Real Estate. I love my job, it, love my coworkers and the buyers and sellers that make my day eventful.
