There are many things that can go wrong with a sale. You want an agent that knows the most effective way to resolve all issues. 2. Their #1 priority should be your happiness. The commission should mean nothing if the agent doesn't support you through the process. They should be available by text/call all hours of the day they're not sleeping. 3. They should have all 5 star reviews from past clients. I would google search any agent you are considering and ask them for referrals from past clients. 4. And most important of all! They should be the best negotiator. Any agent with 10+ years experience can take you through the basics of a sale, but only the best agents know how to negotiate well. A bad agent can cause you a ton of headaches and cost you tens of thousands of dollars.
