Recommendation: Derek did an outstanding job marketing our property in Stoddard, New Hampshire, which was unique in being off-grid and located alongside a large tract of conservation land. Derek was actively engaged with us each step of the way and took as much care as if it were his own property he was selling. Local knowledge: For someone who lives in Massachusetts, he made it a priority to get to know the area of southwestern New Hampshire, to effectively represent our property at each showing. He is currently helping us find a lake house in this same area. With his help, we have located the perfect tract of land on our favorite lake, where we are planning to build. Process expertise: Our buyers were also in a unique situation in selling their home, which required the intervention of attorneys to help clearly describe the deed and other specifics. Derek made it his priority to understand all parts and the contingencies it placed on our sale, and to guide all of us ? sellers and buyers alike ? through the process. As a result of his due diligence, our closing came off without a hitch and was completed in under an hour. Responsiveness: Whenever we asked Derek a question, we never went more than a few hours without receiving a response. And he was equally prompt when he had new information to pass along to us. A few of our interactions were especially time-constrained, and he was on it within minutes. Negotiation skills: Finally, with his wisdom, Derek also helped us negotiate a counteroffer which was accepted immediately.
