In a process where timing is critical, that level of unresponsiveness creates unnecessary stress and missed opportunities. Beyond that, there seemed to be a noticeable lack of familiarity with key aspects of the market and transaction process. Basic questions about pricing trends, contract details, and negotiation strategies were either met with vague answers or incorrect information. Review I was in the market to buy a house. Once I contacted Dennis Friedland he got me all the criteria that I needed to get approved for a loan. He took his time and explained to me what houses that he had to show me that were in my price range. It took me about 4 months to finally get one. Dennis was very patient and helpful. I would say that if it wasnt for him I would probably still be looking. He was very professional and knew all about the properties and answered everything question that I asked about. Review I clicked on two Zillow ads for properties that I wished to see and received a follow up call from Dennis Friedland. Dennis called and opened by telling me that he knows the market very well and has years of experience in real estate but that by the time I wished to see this property it would be gone. Thus, implying that I was wasting my time and more likely, implying to me that Im wasting his time. He didnt ask or inquire about the possibility of moving up the date or if I had something important going on. The exchange felt entirely dismissive. Regardless of intent, that was the impact. 1) A potential customer doesnt care anything about how much experience you have or how well you know the market until youve built a relationship and demonstrated for the customer that you are in fact trustworthy. What Dennis probably didnt know or didnt care about was the fact that Im not a first time homebuyer - just not in this city. I am well qualified with my down payment, job history and prequalification letter in hand. 2) He called again regarding the second property which I had clicked on - mind you both properties were clicked on within a matter of minutes. I declined the call when I saw it was Dennis as he had already turned me off to working with him based on his first impression. He immediately called back and I answered and stated, Hey Dennis, Im no longer interested in your services. Thank you at which point he started to say something and I wasnt really interested but the call was still active long enough for him to tell me, well you shouldnt click on Zillow as all of the referrals will go through me. That might have been the most useful thing he did tell me. Now I can take some recommendations from friends and family members for a traditional realtor that might better serve me. Both of those things had me irritated but no sweat. 3) Do not text a potential customer after an unpleasant exchange with the message, ??? zillow leads will go to me. Not sure why youre being rude. Good Luck Dennis still doesnt think hes done anything wrong. In my opinion, this was about the most petty and unprofessional thing he could have done. Not only will I not work with Dennis, I also will be discontinuing my use of Zillow and will be working with a traditional realtor through MLS and/or Realtor.com. I will do this despite any perceived benefits of working with a Zillow realtor - commission, closing costs or otherwise.

He works extremely hard and takes the time to get to know his customers and what they really want, then gives them the best options he can find. I met Dennis during a pretty tough time in my life. Just before, during, and after my divorce. He respected my situation and never approached a ?potential sale? with any uncomfortable pressure. After the dust had settled, he helped me find a new home. Unfortunately, the first home I put an offer in fell through. But the second home we found was (swear to God) what I had envisioned the first home to look like after some substantial (and possibly expensive) additions. But just based on the online pictures and not even actually visiting the property first, I asked Dennis to put an offer in pretty late into the night. By the following day, I literally had the home of my dreams for me and my son! Even through the uneasy times of COVID-19, he was able to work around my ever changing work schedule, to provide the service I needed. Things went so well with my experience with Dennis and Karsten & Associates, that I even referred him to my ex-wife to help her find a new home. Right now, he?s working his magic once again and I trying to finalize an offer on a home my ex-wife absolutely loves for her and my son. You won?t go wrong with Dennis as your realtor!

Review When I first met Dennis Friedland, he explained that his job is more service than sales. He proved this time and again with his thorough knowledge of home construction and the local market. Every time I viewed a property Dennis would perform a methodical inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the quality of construction, finish, appliances, etc. Dennis also led myself through multiple rounds of negotiation to get to a price I was comfortable with. In the end I found the property that was perfect for myself and Im looking forward to moving in very soon.

Review I would recommend Dennis without qualification. Dennis represented me recently for a home purchase in NE Albuquerque. I especially liked that he knew all the neighborhoods and that he was able to quickly identify what I was most interested in (so that we did not waste time visiting properties that would not have worked for me). Once we found a home I liked Dennis went to bat for me in negotiations and he also arranged home inspections. Some realtors are all about what they can get out of the deal, but Dennis was not like that. He is a genuine person who worked tirelessly to see that I got the home I was looking for at a reasonable price.
