Both buying and selling were stressful events and Deb and Elie held our hand and walked us through every step. They were patient, non-pressuring and knowledgeable. The time they really shined was during the negotiating process when important decisions had to be made quickly. After we sold our home of 20 years we searched for a new home for 2 years. Elie walked through over 20 homes with us, each time being objective, patient and understanding. When we considered buying property and building a home he literally walked through forests and thick brush to find property stakes and boundary markers. He has been doing real estate for over 30 years and his relationships with other agents and builders was invaluable. Lastly, both Deb and Elie are people of integrity. ZillowVERIFIED We worked with Eli and his team when we decided to sell our house in Inver Grove Heights, MN. We were facing a few challenges. Foremost, we were relocating out of MN so needed a realtor who can maintain long-distance communication along with taking the responsibility of keeping up the maintenance of the house. We had lived in that house for just short of two years and were moving in January. We had hoped for spring market but as it tuned out spring decided to skip MN in 2019. Lastly, it was our first time selling our house. Eli and Deborah proved to be a great team. Eli helped us navigate the technical and financial areas, whereas Deb took care of the aesthetic sides, helping with staging, photography, online visibility, and arranging house showings.We found Eli to be mindful of our expectations, opinions, and feedback but at the same time assertive in terms of market trends and contributing from his experiences and expertise. Most importantly, they took great care of our house since we had moved out of the state and could not be there for the day to day upkeep. Specifically, following one severe snowstorm (did I mention the house is in Minnesota), our garage electricity connection got tripped. Our HOA kept pounding us to fix that. Eli spent a significant amount of time in investigating with bulb replacement and figuring out the issue and took care of that. He was in contact with our HOA, thus allowing us to settle into our new home, in a new city without distraction and we really appreciated that. When we received offers, Eli was very professional in presenting those, being mindful of not introducing any undue influences, presenting his opinion after we had reviewed the offers and had formed our own opinions. He helped us understand the nuances of each offer (which were a lot). He was vocal whenever we were unreasonable in our counteroffers and supported what we deemed necessary to us. Eventually, we received a reasonable offer, and his team took care of the entire closing process in our absence and funds were readily available to us. We also found him to be innovative. When the buyer had a delay in securing the mortgage, he coordinated with the buyers to come up with rental lease for a few days followed by closing. All in all, we could not have had a better experience than we did with Eli and his team. We will definitely use his expertise if we move back to MN :). ZillowVERIFIED My husband, Dan, and I moved from Iowa to Minnesota in August of 2018. We knew in February that we could possibly be moving but had no idea of a timeline. We contacted Elie in February and we were impressed with his willingness to work with us given our many uncertainties. We were even more impressed when he touched base with us several times between February and July, while we still weren't sure our move. Finally, in mid July we knew we would be moving and headed up to MN to look at homes. Dan was already working in MN so that left me to house hunt. Elie went over and above by driving me all over the place so that Dan and I didn't have to drive separate cars from Iowa to MN. Poor guys didn't get any peace between houses with me chirping at him the entire time....which was all day. I would have loved to at least pay for his lunch but arguing about that would have been futile. Elie is the best and his wife and partner in The Safi Group, Deb, is awesome as well! She introduced me to the best Truffles which were part of a lovely 'welcome home' gift basket. The Safi's are kind, genuine people and I know they will work hard for you as well.
