Last month, my wife Alice and I closed on our dream retirement home in Ojai, California. Every step of the way we were guided, advised and reassured by Debbie Nelson of NextHome Real Estate Rockstars. The process was complicated by Alice being in California while I was in Philadelphia, and by Alice not driving. Debbie made multiple hundred-mile round trips, taking Alice to Ojai to look at houses before Alice finally found the one she loved, then shepherding us as we made our bid, overseeing the inspection and assessment and walk-through and every other of the hundred moving parts that go into a real estate purchase. Naturally, there were snags. There always are. But Debbie was there whenever we needed something explained or untangled.
