About David Pruitt
An award winning 5 star Broker, you may know him as the former host of "Real Estate Talk" with David Pruitt, but David began his career in Austin Real Estate Development in 1982, working in investor relations and working with various real estate developers. He attended the University of Texas with a major in Finance and Real Estate, and has achieved an extraordinary 40+ year career in Austin Real Estate, including more than 18 years of accomplished management.
In addition to his multiple designations, David is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, which assures affluent buyers and sellers of knowledge, experience, competence, and confidence required in the luxury market. He is in the Million Dollar Guild, having closed multiple properties over $1,000,000. Additionally, David has earned NAR's GREEN Designation, of which agents successfully seek out, understand, and market properties with green features and holds the CRB, CRS and C2EX designations. Of special value to his buyer clients, David holds the Accredited Buyers Representative designation as well, affording him and his clients an extra level of expertise.

I have worked with all types. First time homebuyers, primary and secondary home buyers and seller, residential investors, commercial investors, developers and folks buying ranches. This means I have sold single family homes, high rise condos, a 238 lot subdivision, strip centers, apartment complexes, mini storage and ranches.
Most recently it was assisting someone in the film industry, that was relocating, purchase their first home in the Austin area. We were able to purchase the home for their family at the lowest price per square foot that any home had sold for that year in the neighborhood. This obviously does not always happen, but everything fell in to place for us.
I began working for a developer while in college, ultimately being a Broker's assistant for many years until I received my license in 1989. After receiving my license, I worked with a small luxury boutique real estate company in central Austin.
I have been a Texas Real Estate Broker for over 35 years. I have taught Texas Real Estate Commission classes to many agents over the years while they obtain their license. I have also taught continuing ed classes and lectured on real estate at The University of Texas. I have received both the Broker of The Year and the Realtor of the Year awards.
