About Darren Ricketts

Darren Ricketts is the Team Leader for the Ricketts Group, an eXp Realty team based in Eugene, Oregon. Darren is a REALTOR® because he loves houses and the many opportunities they bring. A native of the area, he applied his background as a finish carpenter to begin flipping houses with an investment partner. As the need eventually arose, he went on to learning real estate agency. Darren found that selling real estate appealed to him, so in 2011, he became a licensed real estate broker to transition from his Information Technology career to selling houses full-time. Now, along with selling real estate, he enriches and leads those around him by: - Teaching First Time Home Buyer and First Time Investor Classes through NEDCO/DevNW - Serving on the board with Springfield Association of Realtors - Serving on the board with Habitat for Humanity in Lane County - Participating as a member of Rotary International In the past, Darren has also served on the board with the Eugene Association of Realtors, Million Dollar Club of Lane County, and the Agent Leadership Council at the Eugene/Springfield Keller Williams office. Darren is a world traveler and has been to 9 countries, including Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Israel, Ghana, Kenya, Egypt, and Japan. He is also a bicycling enthusiast and has participated in various cycling events throughout the Northwest, including Cycle Oregon and the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic. Darren describes himself as a variety specialist, but if he had to choose his favorite meal would be a home-cooked lasagna. Although Darren's professional IT days are long behind him, he will always be a true nerd at heart; in his free time, he enjoys golfing, disc golfing, hiking, watching TV shows and anime, playing video games, and educating his two daughters and their friends on the nuances of card games like Magic! the Gathering. His current personal goals are to purchase another investment property, travel to Spain, and purchase a second home overseas.
