Dan recently handled the sale of my two bed/two bath loft condo in Manchester Lakes. He was the ultimate professional and gave sound advice on the current market and comps, realistic listing price, and how to best stage the property. Within a week of deciding to list, he had brochures ready and the property was active online. We held an Open House on the first day and received an offer over the asking price a few hours later, with two more offers, also over the asking price, the following day. He reviewed these carefully and provided guidance as to which was the strongest and, two days later, we were under contract. Closing went very smoothly, and the proceeds were deposited into my bank account within two business days. It was the fastest and most painless home sale I have experienced to date.In addition to assisting with the sale, Dan even passed by my old address after I left the area to pick and forward urgent mail to my new location. He truly went above and beyond, and I would recommend him without hesitation. He was a pleasure to work with, is very knowledgeable, and a professional from start to finish. Thank you, Dan, for all of your help!Avril A.

I found Dan to be professional, courteous, and always available to answer any questions in a timely manner. Dans 30+ years in real estate proved to be very beneficial in the sale of our two homes - got the full listing price on each one!! I would highly recommend Dan to sell your home!

For being the longest realtor in the Kingstowne neighborhood I found my experience with Dan to be mostly average. If you're selling in the local Kingstowne, I think it's best to go with someone who specializes in the neighborhood regardless. Dan was very quick to get back to me and schedule an initial chat when I first sold my condo. After I got back from a trip, I was able to commit to a listing with his service. We got pictures and my house set up with a slightly delayed actual listing. Dan was mostly responsive to my calls and texts. I don't expect a realtor to pick up every time that I call since they could be working with another client, but if I do leave a voicemail, I appreciate it being returned in a timely fashion. There were a couple of instances when my calls weren't followed up with.Showings went mostly smooth. In one instance, though, a realtor couldn't open the lock box and Dan had to be called. I was able to get home to try to open the door, but found that the buyer's realtor had picked the box open with a screwdriver, and then subsequently proceeded to chew me out because Dan had not called him back to confirm that he'd be on his way to try to open the lock box. This was pretty humiliating for me to go through as a seller to a potential buyer. After seven days on the market, we had the right buyer come through who made an offer after checking the house out. Dan called me with the news, but the buyer's offer was rather insulting to me ($10k under listing price with another $10k in concessions). I was floored that Dan recommended I go with this offer without first reviewing options for a counter-offer. It made me feel like he was in for a quick buck and not on my side whatsoever. Thankfully I have training in negotiation and was able to put a counter-offer together on my own, which the buyer accepted. If I had just gone with Dan's recommendation, I would have been out an extra $10k.

A seamless home purchase or sale can easily paint any ordinary realtor in a good light but, lets face it, those transactions are few and far between. It is more likely that a Seller or Purchaser will experience a few hiccups and hurdles along the way. This is why its so important to seek the services of a seasoned realtor. Dan Stone not only excels when a blip or obstacle surfaces.....he shines. He is both professional and insightful and, just as importantly, accessible and responsive. If that werent enough, Dan maintains access to a network of experienced and very reasonably priced contractors on the ready in the event of a last minute repair. This was especially helpful in our transaction as we were out-of-state Sellers and had little knowledge of local resources. He truly loves his profession as demonstrated in his investment in his business as well as his relentless commitment to the satisfaction of his clients. Neither of us knew Dan prior to this transaction, but we concluded the sale of our home considering Dan an unforgettable family friend. We have ZERO reservation in highly recommending Dan for all of your real estate needs.

I have known Dan since 2004 when he helped sell my townhouse in Kingstowne and purchase a new one. So when it came time to sell/purchase again, I didn't hesitate to call him! At the time we were overseas due to my husbands job and were planning on selling our town house and buying a new one. When I reached out to Dan and explained what we were looking to do, our circumstances and timeline he took the bull by the horns and was a great help to us! He assisted in every possible way, understood our circumstances and did the extra leg work!!He sold our town house in no time and helped us into a new beautiful home that we absolutely adore!!Dan is extremely knowledgeable about the area, the market and has an amazing understanding of people! He has great contacts in the business to help through the process of selling/moving. Most of all, I appreciate his candor and sincerity. You don't find that too often anymore.Needless to say.......I would HIGHLY recommend Dan Stone!!!
