With deep roots in Rhinebeck as a seventh-generation local and third-generation member of Staley Real Estate, he brings a profound understanding of the area and extensive expertise. Since entering the real estate industry in 1996, Dan has refined his craft, specializing in negotiations, zoning, 1031 exchanges, income properties, residential and commercial real estate, property management, construction, and subdivision. He holds certifications as a Certified Residential Real Estate Specialist (CRS), Certified Probate Specialist (CPS), and has earned the Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) and At Home With Diversity (AHWD) designations. His knowledge also spans the rich history of Northern Dutchess County. A veteran of the US Army, serving during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Dan has contributed to his community in various capacities. He served as a Rhinebeck Town Councilman from 2008 to 2012, was President of the Dutchess County Association of Realtors (DCAR) from 2020 to 2021, and was honored as DCAR Realtor of the Year in 2021. Additionally, he acts as the National Association of Realtors Federal Political Coordinator for NY's 18th Congressional District and volunteers with local organizations such as the American Legion Post 429 Color Guard, the Wilderstein Historic Site Membership Committee, and serves as a Director at Ferncliff Forest Inc., an organization founded by his grandfather Homer.
