ZillowVERIFIEDA friend who once rented from Dan later had his help in buying their first home. He came highly recommended from them and so I reached out to him and his team and am glad that I did! From the very first house we toured up to the closing on the house that I ultimately purchased, Dan helped every step of the way. His knowledge of what to look for and avoid, to what to expect throughout this process, to lining me up with contractors for my home, Dan came through immensely! In addition to his knowledge of everything related to home purchasing, Dan's personality and thoughtfulness helped me feel at ease even when I was super overwhelmed by the scope of being a first time home buyer. Great talks and laughs combined with a professional attitude, highly recommended!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan was extremely knowledgeable of the Kansas City market and gave us expert advice at every stage of selling our home. His process is very professional: he provided thoroughly researched comparables and marketed our house with photos and a beautifully produced video walk through. He also responded quickly to our questions since this was our first time selling a home. Dan turned what could have been a stressful process into an enjoyable one -- highly recommend.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is the best realtor in Kansas City. He's extremely knowledgable about the city and the specific neighborhoods we were interested in. He's down to earth and a top notch negotiator. He was able to get the seller to agree to pay closing costs and complete house repairs in this market, which is unheard of. He's timely in his responses, listens to your concerns and understands what's important to you. Look no further. Dan's your man.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan and his team did a wonderful job helping me with the home buying process. I was a first-time home buyer, and he was very responsive, always answered my questions, and advocated for me. In a competitive market I had total confidence in his negotiation skills and the advice he offered when we needed to make difficult decisions. Highly recommend!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan Martin was AMAZING from start to finish and continued to help us after we closed. He was patient with us when he showed us numerous Brookside homes while we were being extremely picky. However, he always had a great and positive attitude to show us the next house. When we found our dream home Dan was extremely knowledgeable on looking for potential issues in a 90+ year old house. The house was out of our price range and Dan was able to negotiate down considerably in order to make it financially possible for us. We are taking his recommendations for a complete kitchen remodel, including taking down the wall separating the dining room and kitchen. He gave us the insight during our initial showing that the wall was not load bearing and helped give us some design ideas. Furthermore, he was able to tell there were original hardwood floors we could refinish that were underneath the laminate floors. Dan even connected us with a trusted general contractor to do the work for our kitchen remodel to help get us started as soon as we took possession. We LOVE our new home and give the strongest possible recommendation for anyone looking to buy or sell.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is amazing as a real estate agent. We had the best time travelling the city with Dan exploring different housing options. The amount of knowledge that he possesses towards the buying process and the overall well-being of a home is priceless. It's not every day you meet someone with the background and team that Dan has around him. From inspectors, engineers, and office personnel they were all fantastic to deal with and they were knowledgeable and timely. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking to buy a home that Dan is your man! Thanks the team at Kansas City Realty for making this a smooth and stress-free experience for my wife and I.
ZillowVERIFIEDMy husband and I currently rent a property Dan owns. We have had a wonderful experience as his tenants and jumped at the opportunity for him to help us find our first home. We are in the process of looking and have been beyond happy with the guidance he has provided so far. Dan is readily available to help, whether it may be answering questions regarding the home buying process or arranging last minute home viewings. Dan is incredibly knowledgeable and takes a genuine interest in making sure we are understanding the the home buying process and are finding our perfect home. Beyond 5 stars!
ZillowVERIFIEDI couldnt be more appreciative of Dan regarding my home buying experience. Buying my first home by myself was daunting! Dan helped me feel safe and informed as we walked through the process of getting my loan set up, looking at houses, and closing on a house I love. He answered my many questions with patience. Dan was my landlord before he was my realtor, so I already knew he was prompt, reasonable, and easy to communicate with. Through the home buying experience though, I learned that hes compassionate, protective of his clients and honest. He vetoed areas of town he felt could be dangerous for me as a single girl and never pushed me to take on something out of my price range or comfort zone. It truly felt like I was looking at houses with a member of my family and its something Ill never take for granted, I feel so lucky to have found him. Hes forever my recommendation for a realtor!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is one those people who you can't help to like. I was in the market for an investment property and was using Dan as a buyers agent. Dan has investment, renovation and property management expertise, so I felt extremely confident if Dan said my numbers would work. He also walked through the property knowing what problem areas to look for. We saw some beatup properties and found a few gems. In the end we found a SFH that was under market value that we won the bid by $1,000. Dan negotiated the inspection process and got us ~$6000 in new appliances and the entire exterior painted and siding repaired (~$7000). All in all, we came out with a fully move in ready property that appraised for $5,000 more than what we paid. We decided to live in the home ourselves, but it's really nice to know we can rent the house out at any time and be cashflow positive.Dan is without a doubt, our go to realtor when we buy another property.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan and his team were easy and enjoyable to work with through the process of selling our home and buying a new one. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy/sell! We have used Dan as a resource on many different properties and will continue to go back in the future!
ZillowVERIFIEDSelling our house could not have been easier! Dan got the right photographer to get the best pictures, and get lots of traffic. Of course, we didn't need all the traffic because we were able to sell our house for the price we wanted, to the first folks that had a showing. And we had back-up offers. I firmly believe that is due to Dan doing all of the pre-listing marketing done right!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan and his team were easy and enjoyable to work with through the process of selling our home and buying a new one. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy/sell! We have used Dan as a resource on many different properties and will continue to go back in the future!
ZillowVERIFIEDIf you're looking for a house in the KC area look no further than Dan Martin! This guy will help you find the perfect place for you and your family. Dan helped me buy my first house and his team helped make the transition easy!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan's very professional and knowledgeable about the KC area , but he's also a lot of fun to work with. He helped us find the perfect home and negotiate a great price. He paid attention to what we needed and wanted and he made sure every home we toured (there were a lot!) met those expectations. Thanks to his responsiveness, we were able to find a home and close quickly, so we could begin our new adventure.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan did a fantastic job for us! He sold our house in under a week and helped us find the perfect new house. His knowledge of the market and advice is remarkable. Thank you so much Dan and Kansas City Realty!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan sold three properties for us in Kansas City, MO. Not only was he completely professional and responsible, he went out of his way to help us with problems that came up. Since we live out of town, his wife, Melissa, obtained a storage unit for us and carted our things over to it once our property sold. Dan was immediately responsive to our questions, very honest, and, best of all, just very nice to work with. I can't recommend him too highly.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan was super great to work with. He was our buyers agent in the midst of a VERY competitive market. He helped us get a great price on a home that met our needs. Always responsive (I love an agent who texts!) and found the house we got, not based on the auto searches we asked for, but because he caught wind of a house he thought we'd like. Great intuition! Last time we purchased, we looked at dozens of places before we found the right house. This time: We browsed maybe a handful we picked out, and the first one he suggested was The One. Great judgment is hard to come by, and Dan'a got it. His staff is great too. A one-man-band can only go so far. Support staff close the deal.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan was awesome. He made the buying experience less stressful and brought a wealth of practical knowledge and negotiating prowess to the table which served us well during the process. We plan to use Dan in the future and won't hesitate to recommend him to anyone we come across needing a realtor.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and made the process of selling and buying very easy. When we had questions, he was very willing to help and was able to explain things in a manner that made sense to someone with no real estate background. We were able to sell and buy with in a matter of days. We have and will continue to recommend Dan.
ZillowVERIFIEDWe have used Dan twice to both buy and sell homes and couldn't have asked for a better realtor! His knowledge of the Kansas City market is unbelievable probably because he has called KC home all his life. Both times we listed with Dan we had multiple offers over asking within 24 hours of hours listing. He also knows what the houses in KC are worth so you aren't paying too much for your new house. To top it all off Dan is an all around super great guy, you'll end up feeling like he is not only your realtor but a friend. Use this guy anytime you are dealing with real estate, you won't regret it!
ZillowVERIFIEDI would highly reccomend Dan to anyone looking to buy a house. His knowledge of Kansas City real estate is second to none. It was our first home buying experience and he made the whole home buying experience exteremly easy with the least amount of stress possible.
ZillowVERIFIEDWhen we out grew our first home and needed to buy a bigger one, Dan helped us with the buying/selling process. When my husband got a job out of state and we needed to sell our second home, we didn't even think about calling anybody but him. Dan had proved to us the first time that he was a great, experienced realtor with a knowledge of the housing market that was second to none. Both of our homes sold quickly and at prices we were more than pleased with. From the time he did the first walk through of our homes and gave tips for small improvements and staging ideas, to getting the house listed, to showings, to negotiating, to signing a contract, to closing date, he was incredibly helpful. It's clear he is passionate about what he does, and it benefits his clients tremendously! He helped the process be as stress free as it can be. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is looking to buy or sell in the Kansas City area! You'll be glad you used him!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan helped us sell our house quickly and above asking price. Before listing he went through the house and discussed what steps we should take to prepare to house for sale and referred contractors to help get the job done.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan has an excellent understanding of the Kansas City market. He is always professional and is very patient in answering all your questions. I find him to be honest and trustworthy which is very important in this type of business transactions. He also goes above and beyond providing information and what you can expect. I would work with Dan again and highly recommend him.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan Martin is a wonderful broker in the Kansas City area. He helped us purchase our home in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City MO in the winter of 2015. It was a wonderful experience. Dan understands the intricacies of older homes, knows what to look for and knows how hard to push owners to get the best deal possible for his customer. I would highly recommend working with him.
ZillowVERIFIEDResponded quickly. Followed through with what he said he would do.Always looked out for me! I've used Dan to purchase two different homes. And would definitely use him again.

ZillowVERIFIEDDan was great to work with. He was very knowledgeable on the area I was looking at and very patient through a long search. When we found the perfect place he worked hard to ensure that we got the best house for the best price. As a new home buyer I had so many questions and he was a wonderful guide. I couldn't be happier with the services he provided and the total experience. I would recommend him to anybody searching for their new home.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is a dedicated realtor who is honest and determined to help you find the perfect home. He never complained about the process of looking through dozens of homes to find the right one for our family. He has a lot of expertise and was always prompt in answering questions we had. We would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, hard working realtor.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan was awesome. He worked with our schedules and got us in to see a bunch of houses without delay. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the ups and downs of each house. When it came to the offer and negotiations, he got us a great deal and made appropriate recommendations when we were lost. We'll definitely use him again in the future!Update a couple years later: Dan helped us sell our house this time. He got everything done for us after we already moved out of the country. He asked for decisions and then got whatever it was we decided finished without any hassle for us. He was upfront and honest when hiccups arose and provided advice on how best to deal with every situation.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan did a wonderful job helping us find our first home. He had the knowledge to help us select a fixer upper with repairs that would be within our budget and he had useful information about different types of mortgages and rebates to make certain projects possible. We were picky and on a tight budget, so our house search took several months and we viewed countless houses, yet we never felt rushed or pressured - Dan seemed as determined as we were to help us find just the right home. With this being our first home buying experience, we were nervous and had a ton of questions, but he was ready to answer them all throughout the whole process. We've been in our new home several months and we love our neighborhood and still feel like we picked the right house for us. We've already recommended him to friends and family.
ZillowVERIFIEDDan did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home. He took the time to get to know us, what kind of house we wanted, what areas were important for us to be in, and before we knew it we found our home. His process was methodical. Every house we looked at was for a reason, and by the third half day we spent with Dan we found TWO houses that we were really happy with. Best of all is that Dan is like an inspector and real estate agent in one. He wasn't trying to sell us homes, he was showing us what to look out for and what was a good deal. When we decided on the one we really wanted he was a huge help in negotiating. We weren't the first bid, we weren't the highest bid, but with Dan's help we found our dream home!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is absolutely amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. We struggled to sell our house with another realtor for 8 months but when we switched to Dan, we sold it in 5 weeks! Dan knew exactly what to do in order to sell and advised us on the necessary steps to get our house ready to be put on the market. I would definitely recommend Dan to all my friends and family as well as to anyone looking for an awesome realtor!!!
ZillowVERIFIEDDan is amazing. We told me what we were looking for and he would email us on a regular basis all properties that fit our needs. We was flexible in showing us properties on our schedule. We Would definitely recommend Dan to friends and family
