ZillowVERIFIED I signed up with Damara Meese as our real estate agent on February 9th, with the plan to list our home for sale on February 22nd. The experience with Damara, however, was not what I had hoped for. During the time leading up to the listing, Damara only walked through our home once and communication was limited, with occasional responses to texts and no calls returned. This lack of interaction was concerning, especially since we had invested over $14,000 in renovations prior to the listing. We had hoped for guidance and advice from Damara, but it was not forthcoming. Feeling frustrated and unsure about the situation, I reached out to Damara and asked to be released from our contract. I explained that we were looking for an agent who could better meet our needs and provide the support and communication that we were looking for. In response, Damara stated that she had no intention of releasing us from the contract and that she looked forward to getting our home on the market. I was disappointed with the reply as it did not address our concerns and came across as defensive. The lack of apology or acknowledgement of the issues we faced was concerning. I had chosen this brokerage based on its positive reviews and was not expecting such a confrontational response from someone who was supposed to be working in our best interest. In addition to the lack of communication and support, Damara's reply also left me feeling as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. I had reached out in a professional manner, expressing my desire to amicably part ways and find another agent who could better meet our needs. The reply I received, however, felt dismissive and confrontational. It is important to have a good working relationship with your real estate agent, especially during the process of selling a home. A good agent should provide support, guidance, and communicate regularly to ensure that their clients are informed and satisfied with the process. In this case, Damara did not provide the level of support and communication that I was looking for. Furthermore, Damara's reply also left me questioning the quality of service provided by the brokerage as a whole. If the owner of the brokerage is not willing to listen to their clients' concerns and address them in a professional manner, it raises concerns about the level of care and attention that clients can expect to receive. In conclusion, I would advise others to be cautious when choosing a real estate agent and to thoroughly consider their options before making a decision. It is important to find an agent who will provide the support and communication that you need during the process of selling a home. A good working relationship with your agent can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and successful sale.

Rent prices were so high that buying was the only option. With our price point, expectations weren't great. Additionally, we were living too far away to actually view houses before they went under contract, usually in about five days. Birche came highly recommended through the military channels. At a moments notice over period of weeks, Birche went to over a dozen homes and with an expert lens, guided us onto and more importantly...off of a lot of houses.
