About Courtney Wood
I've always had a passion for helping people. I graduated from Georgia Southern in 2008 with my degree in Business Management, I chose management not to be in charge of people, but to help develop people. That's where my passion lies, In helping others. Real Estate allows me the flexibility to pursue my passion while also enjoying time with my family , and all life has to offer! Helping that first time home buyer find the home they never imagined they could have or helping a family downsize after their children have left the nest, brings me an indescribable joy! Having lived in the area for 20+ I've had the opportunity to see things grow and change, and I have a knowledge of the area that proves time & time again to be extremely beneficial to my clients. If you are thinking about buying or selling your home, I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with you!

FAQ
When trying to purchase a home, the best advice that I can give is to get pre-approved first. It is always best to have a pre approval in hand, because it will prevent you from looking at and falling in love with a home that is out of your budget.
Always have professional photos done for your listings. There is a world of difference between an agent using their cell phone to take pictures of your home, vs. an agent having a professional Real Estate photographer take the photos.
I have worked with ALL types of clients. First time home buyers, military buyers who making their purchase while still overseas, buyers upgrading their home because they have outgrown their current home, and empty nesters who are downsizing after their children have grown up and left home.
I had a recent transaction with a first time home buyer. We had already been under contract for 45 days when problems on the lending side started come up. There were issues that should have been addressed early on in the process that were just now being found out. The buyer had to have 3 home inspections for some odd reason. One of the inspections required the interior of the home to be painted and the dish washer either repaired or removed, and we only had 48 hours to get it done. All of my contractors I use were busy with other jobs, so I went into the home and painted the inside and removed the dishwasher myself! There were several other hurdles we had to jump after that, but after 66 days, we finally closed on her first home! My client and her kids were ecstatic!
My start in Real Estate was pretty simple. I went to "So you are thinking about Real Estate?" seminar that was being held in my area. I met with the host, who was/is a top producing broker in the area, after the course we talked for a bit. I met him at his office for a more detailed interview the next day, and 5 weeks later I was a licensed Realtor.
i have taken negotiation courses and also continue to take courses to further my knowledge of the Real Estate Industry and how to better serve my clients.
