ZillowVERIFIED I couldnt be more pleased with my choice of Collin OBerry of Altamont Property Group as my real estate agent to assist me in finding the right house in the Asheville area. I live in another state and made trips back and forth to Asheville for several months trying to figure out what type of property was right for me. Collin has a good understanding of the local area and knows market trends and school rankings. He is an excellent communicator, always following up in a timely manner via phone, text or email. He is a good listener who values the clients needs and desires. I felt supported, and never judged, during the process of finding the perfect property to meet my needs. Collin is organized and keeps up with all the details. He never tried to get me to look at properties that I wasnt interested in, even if I determined that upon arrival outside the house. Since I wanted a few acres, I wasnt sure about the pros and cons of living north, south, east or west of Asheville. He presented information to me in an unbiased way and did not try to pressure me to go in a specific direction. Collin emailed me new listings to consider on a regular basis and did a good job of filtering to match my preferences. He worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure that my offer, and then counteroffer, would be accepted by the seller and be the best deal I could get on the property I wanted. His advice during the negotiation phase was spot on and he was also there supporting me through the due diligence phase by recommending good inspection companies and meeting them at the house with me. He was very helpful during the closing in June 2017 and afterwards to ensure that everything was in order for us to settle in to the new place. I would highly recommend Collin as both a buying and selling agent. I have worked with agents over the years in purchasing many houses and he is the best Ive ever encountered. He is honest, polite and respectful and was always available to help me during the process.

ZillowVERIFIED As a first time home buyer with architecture degree in a very competitive market, I wasnt quite sure what I was getting myself into or if I had chance of getting something I would be happy with. I knew I dont care for chatty nosy real estate sales people and wasnt looking forward to working with an agent. So, when I saw a listing I liked online, I just contacted Collin as he was the listing agent. Unfortunately (actually turned out to be fortunately), the condo I wanted to see went under contract the day I requested for showing as same thing happened to the second condo I liked. But I was very happy that I got to meet Collin as he is laid back professional who acted more as a friend than an aggressive sales person. By this point, he knew exactly what I was looking for and had been sending me list of prospects as they were coming on market. While I was on a vacation, Collin called me with this listing that just hit the market which had everything I was looking for. We made an appointment for a showing the day I came back from the vacation. Collin helped with offer process as the market was very competitive and previous owner wanted to wait through the weekend to see if she get more offers. She did get multiple offers but with my personalized email suggested by Collin and his active contact with sales agent, we were able to get the most perfect condo that I LOVE waking up every morning. And the whole process only took a month which was perfect as my previous apartment lease was ending. Few things about Collin I wanted to share with future homeownersaEUR| He is a professional with extensive knowledge on building construction & real estate rules. This was important to me as a first time home buyer. I did not have time or desire to do a lot of research myself and Collin was always there to help & inform me on any questions I had. He will not make you feel pressured but he will kindly guide you towards right direction while providing important information you may not have thought of. He was always available when I had questions or sent him an email. With market being so competitive, it was crucial to get things moving fast, and he was always ready to go when I was. Overall, great experience and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone wanting to buy/sell property. I know for sure that Ill hire him if I need real estate help. He understands that its a big decision and he does not rush you or pressure you into making a decision. He will let you know of urgency but will patiently wait for you to make a decision while quietly working in the background. ZillowVERIFIED A big round of applause for finding an amazing downtown loft/condo before it went on the market. In our year and a half search for that cute historic Montford house. My needs were to be able to walk to downtown and to the grocery store. Collin being a professional and knowing to keep all options open. He started to show me some condo's downtown. After looking at several properties in the downtown area. We were walking down Lexington and he just mentioned that a top floor property may be going on the market. Would you like to take a look? I said "sure". Four days later he called and said we had an appointment for the next day. I walked 5 feet into the space and my heart skipped a beat and I was speachless for the for the 20-minute tour. Five hours later I put in an offer. Hands down the best decision I every made, all thanks to Collin. Not only is he knowledgeable of the properties in the area, but you will never hear any stupid real estate sales pitches. For example, your piece of furniture will fit , not knowing the size or that's a simple fix. It was: let's measure or we will have to look into how much it will cost before we move forward. Believe me, I tried to stump him. Collin will take the time to find you the perfect home. No matter how long it takes. He was very honest about property shortcomings and provided very accurate estimates, along with multiple contractor recommendations to rectify property shortcomings where they existed. ZillowVERIFIED Let me start by saying how awesome Collin is as a realtor! We met Collin through a lot (raw land) we were looking to purchase. From the start, he was very professional and very knowledgeable with layout of the land and certain things you need to look for in Western North Carolina. He actually walked the entire "9 acres" up a mountain to show us the whole property. We were amazed at this because we have had previous experience with other realtors who fall into two categories: 1) They tell you to go check out the property and call them if we have any questions and 2) they show you the property, but don't want to walk you through the whole plot. Collin always came out to show us the properties and always walked it with us, no matter how steep, muddy or rainy the day was. After looking at many lots and just couldn't find the "right one", we decided to look at home and land together. I can't tell you how many homes we looked at and Collin was always there, very patiently with us. We had a specific criteria we were looking for. Like a friend mentioned at work, the kind of detailed list you would look for in a spouse :) It needed to have water (creek or river), flat land for gardening and full sun, enough space for a family of 5 and private, unrestricted land. After 4 failed contracts on 4 different homes, the Lord let us to the "right one!" God was testing our patience but he gave us the desires of our heart. Thanks to Collin, we were able to buy exactly what we were looking for. I can relate how grateful we are to have had met Collin. The final and most important aspect that makes Collin excel from the rest, is Communication. I can't tell you how important that is in one of the most stressful times in your life, buying a home. Collin ALWAYS answered our phone calls, text and e-mails. The SAME DAY! He even was in communication with us during his vacation. Now I don't recommend that, but on the buyers side it was awesome. I could go on and on about Collin, but if you want to find the home of your dreams and have the best experience doing it, call Collin!
