I have bought and sold 8 homes in my life and have never had such a great realtor. Colin arranged for contractors to meet us at the house all at the same time to get multiple bids for flooring and painting. He also arranged for estate sale companies to meet with us all on the same day and timeframe. It was so convenient. We never even had to list the house in the multiple listings as he had a buyer as soon as other realtors knew it was about to be listed. He even arranged to have the home staged which is why we got top dollar. Colin is also a very nice person and professional. He kept in touch with us on a regular basis. I would give him ten stars if that was an option.

I have not used Colin as a real estate agent, but this review will make you want to for yourself. During a very stressful time in my life, a move going on along with other major difficulties, I loaded a pod outside where I was staying. I did not get the latch set properly. So the lock was not preventing the latch from moving and the door being opened. The companys policy is to not remove the pod if it is not locked. Colin noticed this as he was involved with the sale of the home I lived in. He saved me from serious lag time in getting the pod rescheduled. Thank you, Colin. Going out of your way when it did nothing to benefit you was a big showing of how great your character is. I owe you!

Our home search started in September of 2021, and after a year of putting in offers on homes all over Orange County, we were still searching. In December of 2022, our good friends successfully purchased a home in a very competitive market (San Clemente) with a realtor, Colin Farris. Colin had also helped another couple we were friends with find their dream home in historic Santa Ana a few years prior. We contacted Colin right after before Chrismas, and he immediately jumped in and started working with us to understand what we were looking for. We learned so much from him about how to be proactive about home buying, getting the word out into neighborhoods that we were interested in moving to the area, how we could create material to distribute to potential sellers, and more. After just 2 months of working with Colin, my husband and I found a home in North Tustin that was perfect for us. Colin arranged a viewing just 24 hours after listing, and by the next morning we had an offer in that was accepted later that week. Through the entire escrow process, Colin was there every step of the way, during inspections, communicating with the sellers agent, and even our lender to make sure the process went smoothly. We had met Colin at a neighborhood open house about 5 years ago. We had contemplated selling and Colin came by to meet with us. At that time we did decide on not selling. There are several things that I appreciated about Colin. First, he was very thorough in advising me about preparing my home for the listing. I would work with Colin Farris and his team for any real estate project and unreservedly recommend that others do as well. As a resident of San Clemente, it is almost inevitable that we know a number of real estate agents, several of whom I consider to be great individuals and talented at what they do. So how do you choose? In our case, Colin introduced himself to my wife and I more than 7 years ago when he had sold a home in our neighborhood, and I immediately had the impression that he was a serious and knowledgeable person - and a good guy as well. At the time, we had no thoughts of moving and no needs for an agent so our conversation was all theoretical, but I told him to keep in touch since I figured the day would come. Over the ensuing 7 years, we spoke every 6 months or so as he checked in and as we considered a number of options with buying, selling, renting, etc. Over that period, he always did his research and delivered responses that were on the money and served our needs as opposed to chasing a commission. I felt that I got to know him as a professional and a person, so I committed to him several years back that he would get the call when the time came. (perseverance does pay off). When it came time to sell our home in San Clemente (Forster Highlands) this year, Colin was the ultimate guide, advocate and representative. He was patient with our changes of direction and delays (and incessant failed comedy) while always putting our needs first. Face it, the market is hot right now and there is lots of chatter about real estate agents having it easy, but doing things the right way in the real world is never straightforward, and throughout the process, Colin was always proactive, calm, on target with his counsel and most importantly was completely focused on our needs as a family. Needless to say, the transaction was a success. The advice was always sound, even when our impulses may have been naive or off track, he was confident enough to help us understand the process and regain the footing to make the right choices. As explained in an earlier review, Colin Farris helped us find our ?forever? home and now it was time to sell our existing home of 33 years. After working with Colin for over a year, we felt no one was more qualified to help us sell our family home. Because he is a highly knowledgeable real estate agent and keenly aware of the local market in Costa Mesa, we valued his suggestions on changes and upgrades that would make our home more attractive to potential buyers. He made great recommendations on contractors, staging and was there every step of the way during the upgrading process. Colin, being the consummate professional, was very attune to what was happening in the real estate market, and as such, he suggested a selling price higher than what we imagined, which immediately brought in our buyer in less than a week. We ended up getting above our asking price. Colin kept us apprised of each step throughout escrow. When we had questions or concerns, he was always available to take the time we needed to understand the process. He was always there to follow up any time there were issues that needed attention. As we said in the earlier recommendation, Colin has always gone above and beyond what we would have expected of him and as such we have great respect and admiration for his passion, honesty, work ethics, complete professionalism and love of his profession. We decided to purchase a second home out of state to be near our daughter and son-in-law. They had referred us to Colin whom they had recently purchased a house from! We had briefly met him during their purchase and we were wanting to use him for our townhouse hunt as well! Colin exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond in every way! I had to travel from Arizona and he transported me to and from the airport and set aside the whole day to explore the area (south Orange County) and see several houses. He is extremely knowledge and helpful and was clear about the whole process. He was quick to answer calls and texts and was definitely ?Johnny on the spot? with our complicated out of state situation. He previewed many houses for us - video taping them or FT with us. He was honest and worked with integrity and was well liked professionally and friendly on all accounts and was very consistent in his efforts to assist us in any way. He was thorough with the process ans communicated very well- we closed on a townhouse in San Clemente a couple of months after contacting him! My husband and I have dreamed of owning our first home for 15 years and we finally made the leap after having our second little bundle of joy and were in need of a larger space and a family-friendly neighborhood. Colin Farris was EXACTLY who we needed on our side to be searching our desired neighborhoods and getting us in to see properties (even amidst Covid!) early. Colin is knowledgeable about south OC, but San Juan Capistrano especially. Colin found our (new!) home as a pocket listing from the listing agent, he sent us walk-thru videos before it was officially on the market. His quick, professional and kind communication with us as well as the listing agent allowed us to see the home that same day and we placed an offer than night. He was ready with all necessary paperwork, making the hardest part of the process as swift and simple as possible. Colin was always willing to offer further explanation on (any!) part of the process that felt confusing. Things move fast and he was always a step ahead of the game. We loved working with him because he is kind, generous with his time and professional, but ultimately we loved his love for what he does?he worked hard and fast to find us our perfect first home. I also love that he has a family and knows the value and safety and what we were looking for. Colin has a finish carpentry background, which gives him the perspective and experience while walking through a property that came in handy when we had questions about potential renovations, etc. I learned SO much just while walking through properties with him. After 33 years in our home, raising a family, we decided to start a new chapter in our lives. Colin Farris came highly recommended by our daughter, who had just sold her home through Colin. Upon our first meeting, we immediately became comfortable with his calm demeanor, knowledge of the San Clemente/Dana Point/Laguna Niguel area, and passion for finding the us the right home. Colin came highly recommended to us by close friends of ours who had just bought their first home in Mission Viejo. This was also our first time dabbling in the home buying process, so my fiance and I were a little hesitant and completely clueless on where to start. We needed A LOT of hand holding and guidance from the start. Colin has far exceeded our expectations and made the process seamless and stress-free from start to finish. We had some very specific requirements and assumed it would take months to find a home that fit our list.
