1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
In this day & age it's imperative to obtain Lender Pre-Approval prior to viewing homes. The majority of Sellers are requiring a copy of the Lender Pre-Approval Letter before they will consider signing around on an offer.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Make sure an agent does a Customized Market Analysis for you prior to listing. In addition to giving you an idea of what your home is worth as is, the agent should be able to discuss if there are add-value improvements that can be done and what they would be. This will also give you the opportunity to get an idea of the experience level of the agent, prior to committing to listing. For most agents the CMA is complimentary. If an agent requests payment for the appointment, I would highly suggest reaching out to other agents.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
My clients are split equally between Buyers & Sellers. I have worked with 1st time home-buyers, those that are relocating (military etc) and investors.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I met a lovely couple through the sale of their home. They had raised their children in the home, but they had all grown so they needed to downsize. I was able to find them a good buyer that would appreciate the home as much as they did. Shortly after that, we were able to locate a property that would be easier for them to maintain and they could create new memories in. Not only was I able to assist them with a couple important moments in their lives, but we were able to build a friendship during the process as well.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started on the mortgage side of real estate which is 100% behind a computer/desk. Being a Real Estate agent is more complimentary to my personality. I like meeting people and being out & about!
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Due to the proximity of the local military base, I have a lot of experience with military/VA purchases as well as those that selling due to relocating.
