We called Chris because he was recommended to us by our buying agent in another state. At our first meeting, Chris was very pleasant and professional, and explained what he would do to sell our home for us, with a timeline. At first everything went well, but after a short while, when the house didn't sell after our first open-house, we noticed his interest fell. We had a few more open-houses, to which he showed up late, and sent other staff members to run the other open-houses. As our contract was about to close, we did get a bid, and Chris pawned us off on an office person, and that's when we only heard from her. We were taken by surprise. After the inspection, our realtor's office tried to get us to fix every item on the buyer's walk-through and inspection list. During this time we felt we had zero representation, and the buyer's agent literally walked all over us. We came down with a severe case of covid that lasted 10 days, and no-one cared. We were told if we needed to push the closing date out a per diem clause might be needed to be made, not by the buyers, but our realtor. They didn't offer to ask the buyers. I was hoping our realtor would stand up for us especially after we had offered more time to the buyers, but no. Earlier the buyers needed more time to close when their bank loan stretched on, and it was given. It was an unpleasant experience being abandoned, and we are trying to put it behind us. The buyer's realtor even noticed and said something to us about the lack of communication and concern our realtor had (only after she had taken care of her buyers of course). All the fears you have when choosing a buyer to represent you were all coming true. And of course there was no closing gift for us. I know I have left out other things but you get the idea. I hope this helps another seller.
