ZillowVERIFIED This was our second experience working with Lisa Grus, this time on selling the first house she helped us purchase and buying our new house. When they say they are available anytime for questions or referrals, they mean in! A few years into our first foray into home ownership, we asked Lisa to come by and tell us what she felt, in her professional opinion, would be the best areas to invest in our house to take it up a notch for the next owners (we knew it was not our forever home). She walked through and gave us her opinion on things we'd been toying around with and also gave us things to consider that we had not even thought about! When it was time to sell, we ended up in a time crunch (due to no fault of Lisa, it was the nature of the house we were trying to buy) and she came through and gave us top to bottom thoughts about what we needed to do before we listed our residence, along with referrals to who could help us get it done quickly. 11 days after listing our home, we received an offer that we were VERY pleased with and with Lisa's guidance, we closed both houses on time! For starters, if I could shout their name from a mountain top I would!!My sisters and I had our father s home/ our childhood home for sale with another realtor for 90 days and thankfully it was ONLY 90 days. I personally have never sold a home before just, bought (twice). I really didn t know what to expect being a seller but, soon was met with disappointment. As soon as the contract ended we made the call to Chris and Lisa Grus. From the very first phone call we were WOWED. They took the reigns and ran with it. They know this business like no other. They walk with you and hold your hand through every phase. If I can share one piece of advice, it is LISTEN to them and TRUST their knowledge and experience. They worked sooo unbelievably hard for us! All days and hours. Lisa called me, Christmas Eve at 4:00 to share some ideas she had for the house, I said, girl it is Christmas Eve !! They literary did ALL the foot work for us. They met with contractors, got estimates, and kept the process moving. They are in constant contact with you. If you have a question, text or call within the hour, most of the time minutes your in contact with them. They held our hand until the very end. All I know is I will never use any other realtor. The final result was the day the house went on the market we had a bidding war between 3 contracts. We asked $139,900 and closed at $175,000.!!!!We ???????? ZillowVERIFIED In winter of 2015 my husband and I made the leap to move from Virginia back to St Louis in a matter of days. We were back for the holidays and had limited time to look but Lisa dropped everything to spend as much time with us as possible while we were here. Not only does she have great taste, she can read people well. She knew walking into homes immediately if it was for us or not. She encouraged us to be patient and not jump into something because we wanted to move home quickly. On the final day that we were home we walked through a new construction home with Lisa and as soon as we walked in she said this is your house and she was right. We flew back to Virginia a couple of days later and Lisa continued to support from afar. We were able to work with a lender that they were comfortable with (who did a fast and flawless close for us) and by February 2nd we were closing on our first home and moving back. Over the past 4 years I have continued to call on Lisa for her insight and guidance as it relates to our house. She has helped with interior design suggestions (backsplash, curtains, etc) recommended contractors and most recently came out to the house to do a walk through of our unfinished basement and gave advice on how to maximize our investment in the space. She was SO patient with me as I decided what area to purchase in. She showed me so many homes and stuck with me until we found the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood for me. Not only did she help me with finding the home but she gave me helpful contacts for inspectors, carpenters, handymen, bankers, etc... She was a lifesaver in the whole situation . Back in 2009 during the major RE crisis, we bought several condos in the Shaw neighborhood. Our plan was to rehab them and sell after market recovers. So in 2011 we were ready to sell and we thought it will be an easy job. Just put it in MLS and wait for the buyer. Our condos are really nice, and we thought they will just sell on its own. Well what we did not know is that it takes a lot more than that. It should be marketed properly, little things here-and-there corrected...tons of small details we never paid attention to, and it all adds-up to produce superb product. So after we wasted more than a year, we finally retained Chris and Lisa who filled all the gaps sold all our condos! Do not even think about it, just hire them!
