ZillowVERIFIED We had a fairly miserable experience with Chris. Regarding our purchase: he advised us on the purchase price based on the house having 5 bedrooms. Our inspector and mortgage broker both warned us that the house would only appraised as a 3 bedroom. Chris was rude and disparaging toward both of them saying he was the expert, and they should "stay in their lanes." It turns out they were right, and the house appraised $4000 less than our contract amount, Chris never acknowledged his error. Regarding our move: our closing dates were the same, but our sellers had 7 days to vacate. The sale of our home was negotiated after, with only 5 days for us to vacate. Chris repeatedly assured us that it would not be a problem, that our sellers were getting out faster and we would have no delays in moving from one house to the next. He assured us that he this all worked out with their agent on December 27. It turns out none of that was true - when we closed on January 7 the sellers' agent told us she had just heard about our issue earlier in the week. Our buyers also told us at the closing that had they known in advance we could have kept the house for two more days but by the time Chris had asked their out of state movers could not reschedule. All in all we spent over $1000 in extra moving expenses and hotel stays for two nights. Even the night before the closing Chris texted us assuring that he would get it all worked out - he didn't. Our advice if you are considering/have signed with Chris: Get everything in writing, then follow up with other agents to ensure that what Chris told you was actually true. Be prepared to micromanage the communication -- our mortgage broker said Chris was the least responsive agent with whom he had worked in a long time. The broker had to contact us so we could get the information or get Chris to provide it. Read through all the paperwork -- we didn't realize that we signed agreeing to pay $299 and $399 for "electronic record keeping" of the transactions for seven years. Obviously, this is an insanely large waste of money and those agreements were buried in a lot of electronic signature pages.

He sold our house on the second showing. He would call me to make sure I was ok. He is very knowledgeable about real estate. His personality and trustfulnes is such that not only his clients but other realtors are comfortable with him. I came up from Florida to help my daughter sell her house in southern indiana. I would not consider using anyone but Chris to sell her house which of course he has. He was showing this property every day and sometimes twice a day. I had a realtor in Florida tell me aEURoeyou have to show it if you want to sell it!aEUR? Chris certainly did that. He is a great agent and he will take all the stress off and you can be sure he will find the perfect house for you to buy or he will sell your house for you at the price you are looking for. Adding to it, he was able to make the move as easy as possible by having relocation cost be paid by the bank as well as lending a helpful hand in physically moving my furniture and getting the house up to par for sale without bringing it up in conversations or using it during the negotiations. He dealt with the bank in utmost professionalism and defending my interest throughout the whole process without sacrificing my dignity while maintaining the financial goal. During one of the worst moments in my life, he wasn't just an agent earning his pay but I'm happy to say, he became a friend.
