ZillowVERIFIEDI worked with Chris by giving him a budget and he found two apartments that I immediately liked. I locked the deal on one of them. He was prompt by text - we did have a couple of hiccups with the rental agency promising me to allow my stuff to be moved in earlier but in the end I had to do it on the 1st. But overall good! Better to work with an agent in Boston and I def recommend Chris if you want to save time and money :)

ZillowVERIFIEDFor rentals: NEVER USE THEM. Chris Mckenna is misleading and will Not explain the real situation. They say they represent building that they actually do not. They will get you for a fee when you should not be paying one. Their contract locks you in but they do not explain the situation PURPOSELY TO LOCK YOU INFO THEIR FEE. NEVER SIGN THEIR CONTRACTS. They prey on you kids that do not know what they are doing. When they have a listing, google the listing to find the building manager or ANY other realtor that has the listing.

He was reachable at almost any hour of the day (I hope he takes time to rest!!), and when we encountered an issue with the state of the apartment prior to move-in, he helped us communicate with the property management company to get the situation addressed. ZillowVERIFIEDChris is absolutely fantastic! We contacted him on a friends advice, and told him right away that we were not planning to buy for a year or so, but were only scouting neighborhoods. He didnt flinch: he made himself available at any time (literally sometimes at the early hours in the morning or late at night!) for any questions. He helped us set up home visits in neighborhoods as far away as Salem, down to Dorchester, weekends, nights, at our convenience. He was always there, gave us his honest -- and expert -- assessments of the houses we were looking at. He also was very honest and never pushy in giving us his opinion on the pricing and conditions of the houses. When we eventually saw a house we were actually interested in buying, he did his research thoroughly: the house seemed overpriced. We decided not to make an offer. We missed that house, but we were so happy we did, because shortly thereafter we found our dream house in Quincy! Again, Chris did his research, including going personally to Quincy building permit department to make sure that the work on the house had been fully permitted. His preferred home inspector did an extremely thorough job as well, very meticulous (though I would suggest he takes pictures of some of the major issues he finds in the future -- Chris did it himself, but I think that should be the job of the inspector). The final report -- even without pictures -- was so detailed that Chris was able to negotiate the price down quite a bit. He takes the time to know all the details in a house to be in the best position to negotiate in your favor. The team that works with him, from the home inspector, to the mortgage broker, to the lawyer are top-notch, honest, and prompt in their communications. My husband and I couldnt be happier! We feel we were very lucky to meet him.

He first contacted me after I conducted an initial internet search for homes in the Boston area in preparation for a big move across country. Chris was very attentive from the start, listening carefully to my needs and suggesting options. He exceeded my expectations by offering to go look at several apartments for me before I was able to fly Boston. Further, he picked me up at the airport and dedicated a full weekend to viewing apartments in Boston and Salem. When I found a condo I wanted he guided me at every step as we made an offer and negotiated with the sellers', knowing that there were multiple offers on the property, including some that were higher than what I was able to pay. When the seller's agent we were working with was untruthful about what came with the apartment, Chris stepped in and negotiated with her on our behalf. He could've taken the brokers fee and run, but he was helpful to us even after we had signed the lease - searching for parking in the area and checking in to see how we liked the new place.
