Chris Cooke is an outstanding realtor! He and his team are exceptionally competent. I live in Virginia and remotely sold my Baltimore house through him. I met him once, told him what I wanted, and he ran with the ball to the finish line. While working with him he treated me as though I was a member of his family. Chris was totally professional, listening to my concerns and desires. He kept me updated on progress and consulted me whenever I needed to decide an issue. Chris provided outstanding guidance on how I should handle the preparation of the house and the actual sale. Throughout the process, he and his entire staff were professional, knowledgeable and helpful whenever I contacted them. My house was sold in three days after being advertised on the market. To my surprise, I received an offer that was higher than advertised. If I had another property to sell in Baltimore, I would absolutely retain him. He cares for his client. Chris will work with you to get the best deal possible. You will not find anyone better.

ZillowVERIFIED His team recently sold our home in Bel Air. It was a very stressful relationship for us. Once we signed the contract, we heard from Chris very little. In speaking with other realtors, we have come now to understand that his type of business is team-oriented. This means that he sells his business and then does the negotiating (I suppose) but his people (team) do the rest of the work. Granted, when we called him, he responded pretty much on time, but when we did speak it was quick and if we did not know what to ask, he would not elaborate. When it came to the inspection, we thought he should have fought more for us; but he just said do whatever they say, even the little things. He does not come to the settlement. We received no word from him personally after the sale. He did not even send a "thank you for your business" e-mail. If you are looking for someone who has very little contact and conducts business in a team-oriented fashion, go with Chris Cooke team. You'll love it. If not, do not choose his team. I gave him an average score because he did sell the house. But would not recommend again.

ZillowVERIFIED We recently sold our home through Chris Cooke of Remax, and while ultimately, the job got done (we sold our house), I would never recommend working with this realtor. Once he gets you to sign with him, you will never hear from him again without contacting him first. We even had to ask to have an open house (which he did not attend) - aside from that, he or no one from his office set foot in our house except for our first meeting. The office works on a "team" mentality, but no one there is exceptionally friendly or helpful. It seemed as though no one was ever available to represent us as sellers, and that they just wanted us to agree to all the buyer's requests so the deal would be done and they wouldn't be bothered. He did not even show up to our settlement, it was someone from his office who I had never met or spoken with previously who showed up late and sat on her cell phone the entire time. Since settlement, I have not heard a thank you for working with us or a congratulations or anything. He just collects a check and moves on. Resist the temptation of his lower commission rates and other promises - I guess the saying is true, you get what you pay for!
