About Cheryl Bower
A third-generation San Francisco native and longtime Burlingame resident, Cheryl Bower has helped hundreds of buyers and sellers navigate the complex Bay Area real estate market with confidence, ease and efficiency. Her deep local knowledge, hands-on property experience and thoughtful preparation have made her a highly sought-after REALTORA(R) throughout San Mateo and San Francisco counties.
Cheryl's passion for real estate began at a young age. She purchased her first home at 23, discovering firsthand the rewards of sweat equity and building wealth through homeownership. In her late twenties, she purchased a five-unit rental property in San Francisco's Sunnyside neighborhood. Managing that property gave her invaluable experience with investment real estate, tenant selection and San Francisco's complex and continually evolving rent-control laws.
Since becoming a REALTORA(R) in 2005, Cheryl has represented first-time and experienced buyers, sellers, investors and commercial clients. She is especially skilled at helping clients relocate between San Francisco and Peninsula communities, including Burlingame, Hillsborough, San Mateo, Millbrae and Belmont.
Education and continued learning are central to the exceptional service Cheryl provides. She has earned the CRS, GRI, ABRA(R), SRESA(R) and e-PROA(R) professional designations, giving her clients the benefit of advanced training in residential sales, buyer representation, negotiation and the needs of clients at different stages of life.
Cheryl understands that a home is more than a financial investment-it is the foundation for how her clients want to live. She has developed an effective four-step process to make buying or selling as clear and manageable as possible, whether her clients are purchasing their first home, upsizing, downsizing, investing or moving into or out of the San Francisco Bay Area.
Known for her attentive, full-service approach, Cheryl combines calm guidance with a determined work ethic. She helps clients understand both the major decisions and the less obvious details that can affect a property's value and future resale potential. From developing the right strategy and negotiating the strongest possible price and terms to anticipating challenges and overseeing every detail, Cheryl remains closely involved through a successful closing.
Cheryl has earned a consistent record of five-star client reviews, with clients frequently praising her responsiveness, local expertise, strategic advice and unwavering advocacy. She is affiliated with Compass and is also a host of the Emmy-nominated television series American Dream TV, where she showcases Bay Area homes, neighborhoods, businesses and community stories.
Outside of real estate, Cheryl enjoys golfing with her wife, Pilates, wing foiling, walking their dogs, renovating their 1930 Spanish Revival home in Burlingame and exploring the exceptional restaurants of San Francisco and the Peninsula.
