ZillowVERIFIED My fiancA(C) and I wanted to look at a house so we called the number on the for sale sign out front. Charlene told us there was an offer on the one we were interested in and that we can still schedule a time to see it and if we give her our home-buying criteria maybe a few more afterwards. I was skeptical due to the fact that there weren't many homes for sale in our area especially with at least one acre of land. Unsurprisingly, the house we were interested in accepted their offer the next day. What did surprise me was Charlene already having another house that met our criteria. We looked at the old farm house and loved it but were worried about the VA approving it. It was built in the 50's and bound to have some quirks, also it was right at the edge of our budget. Charlene assured us from her years of experience in real-estate in the area that she was pretty confident it would pass all inspections and sure enough after getting a home inspection it came back with only a few bigger ticket concerns. She was able to not only keep the closing price range in our league but also got the seller to agree to a credit that went towards those repairs.

Charlene was able to facilitate all aspects of the purchase effectively and seamlessly. She was accommodating, professional and understanding in my anxiety purchasing remotely, stepping me through the process. I was looking at a specific floor plan, zip code and an investment property that would transition to my retirement home. A tall order, sight unseen. Charlene and I had a long, long conversation regarding my likes and dislikes of the property listings she sent for my review. She was very professional and inquired about our desired home criteria (number of bedrooms, bathrooms, garage, lot size, location, rental, vacation home, etc.). Based on what we discussed, Charlene informed us of areas that we may like; she is extremely knowledgeable of the various areas and communities and informed us of the pros and cons of each area and what makes each area desirable and unique, which we really appreciated, as we live in California and are unfamiliar with neighborhoods and towns outside of Reno and Tahoe. She also set up a Collaboration profile account where we received updates regarding available homes on the market that met our criteria. Through the website, we were able to put ? on the homes we liked and create folders to further organize our search and collaborate and coordinate with Charlene on homes we wanted to see. Due to limited time we had to go to Reno, we met up with Charlene during weekends. She was highly organized, accomodating, and had our day planned out to allow us to see the homes we were interested in. She was very respectful of our time constraints and did not put any pressure on us; we felt extremely comfortable with her which made our visits to Nevada pleasurable, like a friend showing us around town. After only a few meet-ups with Charlene, we found the retirement home of our dreams in the Spanish Springs community, which was an area we were not familiar with until Charlene informed us about it. The home and location checked off everything on our wish list. We are now in the process of signing the contract.
